It’s all good bro. I don’t really give a frick because I see Protestants as brothers and sisters in Christ, as Jesus would, and as the Catholic Church has taught as long as I have been alive at a minimum.

The hate is generally a one way street and I’ve been on the receiving side my whole life. You won’t convince me you’re right just as I won’t. I find the level of fervor Protestants have towards the hate entertaining personally because your rank and file Catholics are just trying to be a good Christian just like you are and hold no hate toward whatever flavor of Jesus you wanna believe in as long as it’s Jesus.

I laugh in my wife’s grandmother’s face when she pretends to be so sweet and nice then makes sure to tell us that our kids are going to hell because we are raising them Catholic. It’s super funny.

There is not a shred of evidence to support this Protestant wishful talking point. I’m surprised it keeps getting repeated.
Not a shred? Seriously?

If he does retire, will this be the first time in history that there are 3 living popes?

I don't hate, and I've been faced with Catholic arrogance all the time, like "We're literally from Peter, our blood is pure. Luther is burning in Hell."

I like Catholics and I want us to be on the same team. Y'all need to clean house, though. No one is immune from that.

No doubt. I have not given a cent to the church in over a decade because I refuse to support the organization’s misappropriation of funds to hide misdeeds when it should be used to investigate and oust the evil that infects it from within.

That doesn’t change the belief in what I hear every Sunday. I’ve spoken to a priest about this as well and he said if I believe my methods are just within my soul and not just an excuse to save money then I have not shirked my duties as a parishioner

I hope he takes his ChiCom loving pal Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo with him.

I'll cut Bergolio some slack. IMO he tried to hold the progressives - traditionalist together. But if you've kept up with appointments during his pontificate you sense a sharp turn to the left. A turn to the left as in the Lavender Mafia making gains in the College of Cardinals.

The liberal Cardinals are now in a position to elect the next Pope. I'm not optimistic.

St. John Paul II, please pray for us.

The Cain and Abel story in Genesis is parallel to the Catholic hate attitude. Cain hated Abel because God viewed Abel's sacrifice more worthy than Cain's and Abel was murdered for it.

You're communicating with a dead person. That is biblically witchcraft, buddy. It's also praying to them. It's not the same as asking a live human being to join in agreement with you.

Absolutely not. Only the Mormons have it right.

You can be sure that they will. Francis has put in a lot of "Purple Mafia" types into positions of power in the church and any new pope will have to deal with that. He put in an arse buddy of McCarrick into some position and has marginalized some of the more conservative African cardinals. Benedict had been concerned about this group since before he retired.

Not any real evidence, no. The claim does not make sense.

yeah, 600 years without one doing so, and then we get 2 in a row. interesting.

It’s almost as if people are living longer and more likely to experience cognitive decline than before… and we’re now noticing a sample size of 2 among a position for one person to hold.

Popes and priests are like Federal Judges. Lifetime appointment if they want it, but they can live a sweet life if they “retire” with lifetime benefits.

If he does resign, he would be the third pope to do so. The only other popes to resign were Benedict XVI and Celestine V.

Intercession is asking a saint (soul that goes to heavan)to pray on your behalf, Its not praying to them.

12 years of Catholic education and this still doesn’t make sense to me.

Asking a dead soul for a favor is not praying?
