Lol. The Pope has absolutely broken this board.

Nah just lets us know the Vatican firsters. You guys put Catholicism and Islam over your country.

You've made this a binary choice, not Leo or the Vatican. You want it to be an either/ or choice.

Board is pushing us towards Christian tribalism like Sunni vs Shia

Catholic priests don't talk about gossip from the pulpit like pastor Jim.

No, we put Jesus over everything. As a Christian, you're saying you put country over Jesus?

Jesus became known through the breaking of the bread.

Wait, do you mean the breaking of tge bread was what caused them to recognize Jesus? Funny how protestants will mock us for doing what Jesus told us to do!

Nope, and no mention of it in our scripture class.

Here, have a upvote. Trust me, I do the same. But I was pleased my Bishop didn't take the low road and launch into an anti-Trump tirate.

Apparently that's not the situation in other diocese. On this very TD someone posted a video of a Catholic priest urging his parishioners to pray that God will take President Trump. Not sure if that video is legit or just some AI generated video. You never know these days what's truth or what's fake.

That's why I pray my Rosary everyday.

No. Not a word about it or politics. Talked about the Bible passage regarding the two disciples on the way to Emmaus.

This thread remines me that our Church is truly a universal Church. Posts from all over the nation say the same thing that our priests talked about this past Sunday, the 2 disciples on their way to Emmaus.

As Catholics, we pray for our country, our leaders, and the leaders of the Catholic Faith every Sunday. There was no mention of Trump and Pope, except to pray for them.

Couldn’t tell you. I thought Mass started at 8:00 but it stayed at 7:30. Priest had a thick Indian (Asian subcontinent) accent and I couldn’t understand a fricking word. Kind of zoned out thinking about work.

Yeah, there's definitely concern about growing Vatican influence over the Catholic Church.

I laughed.

But honestly. The White Sox?
