You like LBJ. Case closed.
You don't know anything. I was against LBJ. His wife was the largest single stockholder in Halliburton when she died. This was because of her shares in Brown and Root when Halliburton bought it. Brown and Root made serious bank in Vietnam and Thailand.
JFK was in fact addicted to pharma grade meth.

JFK and the Unthinkable is the most comprehensive catalogue of the assassination. Very interesting read. PS: LBJ is the worst of humanity.

JFK got us into the VietNam war after the French told us there was no winning a war in VN…..

JFK had morality issues, but it was his politics that got him killed. The Council on Foreign Relations is the deep state that people talk about. These corporations and individuals are the real power in this country. By the way, you can go to their website and see the corporations and individuals who are members of this group.

You are correct. Johnson just expanded it. An older friend was sent there with his USMC unit when Kennedy was still president.

I remember LBJ famously saying the troops would be home by Christmas in1965. When that didn’t happen he requested another 50,000 troops to be deployed. DOD was run by Ivy League types who had served in WWII.

JFK had a terrible VP choice, like Reagan & Bush 43.

How many, like McNamara, were just pencil pushers who never was near a war zone? Back then you were not considered a veteran unless you at least served in a combat zone. Today you don't even have to leave the Lower 48 during a time of combat and call yourself a veteran.
JFK was not a good president. But the press made it out to be "Camelot"
The press did praise everything he did and said. We know that the press has always leaned left, but when LBJ came in the press took shots at him. Very different treatment than they gave Kennedy. I think the difference was charisma. JFK had it. LBJ came across as a fat thug who couldn't give a speech faster than 5 words a minute.

JFK was a young president who created a lot of optimism among the voters and throughout the nation. Some people didn’t like his pro- civil rights agenda, but they weren’t the majority.
He turned out to be a stronger leader than some detractors had suggested.
He basically faced down the Soviets in the 60’s.? Don’t let anyone distort the facts and claim otherwise…
His support of NASA and the moon landing produced benefits that lasted until today.

i grew up with lifelong republicans. my mom was chair of the county GOP.

JFK's mistake was trying to end the Israeli nuke program.

Other than FDR and Obama, our most damaging president
FDR and LBJ knew what they were doing. I view them as the absolute worst and most damaging presidents on purpose. Carter and Biden were damaging as well, but not on purpose. Just incompetent
I think Obama was a useful tool, but his supporters and shadow cabinet took things further than I think he intended

Seriously? By whom? All I've ever heard is JFK was on par with Jesus Christ.
This.
The MSM stopped gushing over JFK in recent years, and I don’t know yet if it’s because of the left’s shift much further left, or because RFK is serving in the Trump admin.
But there were shaming articles published initially. “What would JFK think about RFK’s stance” etc

I tried to educate one of the resident left-wing loons about the truth regarding JFK the other day, but he was either too blind or too "entrenched" to see it. JFK was one of only 3 Presidents in the past 75 years who was not part of the corrupt Political Establishment. Among other things, JFK:
1) Fired longtime CIA Director Allan Dulles in an attempt to reign in the out-of-control intelligence agencies. (Obtw, this was the same Allan Dulles that the tPOS Lyndon Johnson appointed to the sham Warren Commission. Both LBJ and Dulles HATED Kennedy with a passion).
2) JFK resisted the MIC's obsessive desire to ramp up a war in SE Asia (But after the corrupt Establishment assassinated Kennedy, tPOS Johnson used a false flag called the Gulf of Tonkin incident in order to send several 100 thousand men to Vietnam).
3) JFK was also reportedly looking into doing something with the Federal Reserve.
I wish the blind fools in this country realized that Trump is the JFK of our day, and his biggest enemy by far is the corrupt Political Establishment that exists now. Sadly, 50% of the population are simply too stupid to figure it out.
PS - Eisenhower was a god man, but he gave that speech warning the country about the Military Industrial Complex ONLY 3 WEEKS BEFORE LEAVING OFFICE. Eisenhower had 8 years in which he could've harped on it.
I think Eisenhower was afraid of meeting the same fate that would happen to JFK, and I guess I can't blame him for waiting until he had one foot out of the White House.
