Funny story ya'll will love.

A Korean family's son spoke to a school councilor in NY because he got spanked. That triggered all kinds of government and work social worker BS. After they got through all of the BS, they took a trip back to Korea.

When they got to Korean, the tore that boys butt up right in the airport. Nobody batted an eye. After coming back to NY, when the kid acted up and needed corporal punishment, they simply asked him if he wanted to "go to Korea."

BTW, a $50 damage to a computer could easily have been water spilled on a keyboard.

but... will the girl purposely damage a computer in the future?

Shop teacher in high school called it a Board Meeting.

My kid had a board meeting tonight after she smarted off to her mother.

Gives something for the kid to think about before screwing up again.

Pfffftttt....I went to Catholic school when nuns were teaching most of the classes. The nuns didn't need any helpers to hold six year olds down.

I see a lot of people in here arguing that the act of paddling isn't a big deal...and it isn't. The punishment fit the crime IMO.

The issue here is, corporal punishment is against district policy, and I'd want to know did the principal go rogue and paddle this girl or did she seek approval from higher up.

If I got the paddle at school, it was twice as bad when I got home.

Nah. It’s just right. Amazing what a paddle can do.

Wasn't too young when my dad did it. It sucked but I sure as hell never did whatever it was again.

Same here. That's another part of the problem today, many parents don't want to believe their little "angels" do anything wrong. No accountability.

I had a PE teacher in 8th grade that had a stack of those furniture rulers wrapped in a rubber band and that's what he used

My opinion is that if my kid has done something that needs a paddling then send an email home and I’ll do it.

I don’t want some teacher or football coach taking out their stress on my kids.

My 7th grade math teacher, who was 200 years old and went by the name Sarge Williams, had a big arse paddle with holes in it she kept hanging on the wall called it her attitude adjuster. The class was always quite and organized lol.

bending the child over and hitting her several times with the wooden paddle

I watched the video. That isn't anything compared to what my teachers in 5th - 7th grades used to do. My arse cheeks would be purple for 2 weeks.

Need more paddling in school and it will cut down on the hoodlum bullshite.

BFD. 3 whacks and the woman didn't even load up. When I was in Elementary school, the paddle had duct tape on the handle for grip.

The parents should take a ball bat to the teacher.

So much wrong here.

I am the parent of 4 children - when my kids were 6, they each knew personal responsibility for actions, right from wrong, and that they would be held accountable.

The earlier you set those expectations, the less you have to reinforce them later.
