video

this is confusing, the woman paid 50 dollars because her child broke a computer. the mother got a letter where they said they paddled her with deputy sheriff there or something?

then the mom is there watching the paddling. I think the mom had to have agreed to it and then video taped it.

it is very strange no school of today allows his.

I got spanked in preschool or kindergarten with a wooden spoon for organizing a beat down of a kid. Still remember the teacher telling me that she really didn’t want to whip me.

I caught so many whippings in elementary a lot of them in front of the whole class.

We were paddled with barber shop straps, for sharpening blades. Or whatever they're used for. In high school it was a wooden paddle. It was 1980 something

Wow, guess I was physically assaulted as a child. Got paddled twice in first grade. Learned my lesson and was a model student thereafter.

I don't see what the outcry is about.

Hate to agree, but I do. The first time I got popped like that was 2nd grade by Mrs. Haynes.

Maybe I’m fricked in the head due to being spanked by my school as a kid, but yeah, this shite happened to me as a kid. 2nd grade the principal spanked me.

I'm with the masses here, not sure what I am supposed to be outraged about. Maybe, if the mother did spank the kid like that (not that bad compared to what I got) the kid would not damage school property. She's six, I get it. Actions do have consequences though and unfortunately this is teaching the kid the wrong message by getting the principal fired and the school sued. Guess what the kid will grow up doing?

When to catholic school, got paddled twice... then never again. Probably around the same age... liberals are mindless pussies.

You know what made me act right in grade school? Getting my arse whipped by a wooden paddle.

Yeah, every teacher had one. And when you started middle school there was always one woman who taught English class that would lift you completely off the ground with that paddle, and one football coach/history teacher who took great pride in completely knocking you over the desk with a one handed swing.

Kids these days are coddled and it's no wonder they become either beta pussies or packing a shotgun to class in their trenchcoat.

Good thing the principal wasn’t white, she’d be in for life without parole

We had a 7th grade science teacher who was well known for threatening to "knock the dust out of your pockets". His threat served as an effective deterrent for cutting up in his class. Hell, our teachers used to name their paddles and hang them on the wall. I distinctly remember one named "The Board of Education".

Well, which is it? Mom seems unsure which way to present this. Also, if she had spanked her child, maybe the school wouldn't have had to do it.

I bet her daughter was proud of her mom for sacrificing her.

Probably a good thing no cell phones in the 80s. They would have caught me getting paddled and laughing after it was done.

Belts and switches work better. Paddles don’t have the same sting.

That was gentle.

Appropriate for age.

I got paddled three times in the 7th grade and my arse still stings.

The scariest part was watching the 8th graders walking out crying before it was my turn.

The good sisters would disagree. By first grade they were tearing that butt up.
