My impression total failure

Outside of the tax cuts they don't seem to be able to get moving in one direction.

The blue and purple state RINOs are a drag.

Didn't think of tax reformer so scoreboard isn't zero

If mid term is lost to me real reason is ineffectiveness.

I realize that many democrats are angry because a lot of their friends are going to jail for what they did to those kids but that doesn’t mean trump is bad

I think the house can only point to tax cuts as an accomplishment.

The senate can point to Gorsuch and eventually Kavanaugh confirmations.

I think the leadership is failed and history will not be kind to the missed opportunities.

Yep and that is why the GOP is in trouble in November despite this board's consensus opinion. Y'all actually expect the GOP to turn out the base at the same levels of the insane Democrats after mostly shitting the bed the last few years.

Complete failure.

They had YEARS to prepare a replacement regimen for Obamacare, and they spent those years on meaningless rhetoric. When they got their chance, they were not ready with a viable replacement, so they lost swing votes. Utter incompetence..

The tax cut was nothing but a Populist vote-buying scheme. They should have been ready with spending cuts to match. Complete fiscal irresponsibility.

Gorsuch confirmation was big for the country, but a non-event in the Senate. They would (and should) have confirmed anyone from the Federalist/Heritage list. From a legislative perspective, a complete nothing burger.

was going to say the same thing

And it ain't just Gorsuch, they have done a stellar job on approving justices across the board

Well.. everything they propose is met with 24/7 fearmongering from our msm...that convinces their viewers and readers that if the gop pass anything, then billions will die.

I hope even the most dyed in the wool Obama-bots, the most strident ACA defenders, those who would sacrifice anything to keep that law - I truly hope they see and weep for our Republic at the fraud that was the GOP opposition to this. It fricking sickens me to look back at 6 years of pandering, millions MILLIONS of dollars in bilked donations (much of it from people being crushed by their healthcare costs) and these fricking sociopaths never had any intention of doing anything about it. They watched the insurance companies and the administrative state point a gun at the middle class, then they helped pull the trigger. It's sick.

Any GOPer who campaigned against the ACA and didn't vote for an alternative should be in jail.

To give them the benefit of the doubt, usually when Republicans control Congress the less legislation passed is a good thing. Let's turn this around. Would anyone here be complaining if Congress was controlled by Democrats and no legislation got passed? Seems to me like the less legislation that is passed the more the government is staying out of my life. That said, there is no excuse for their inability to fix health care.

Disagree on the first part though it was sold to us that way.

Cutting the corporate tax rate that much combined with the immediate expensing was a big deal. Also, removing the SALT deductions from the high tax states was a great change.

The GOP has no interest in spending cuts so unfortunately your wish is a pipe dream unless we vote out 80% of the current government at minimum.

This, and it's why the house is going blue after November.
