Very true. And it's unrealistic to expect every individual charter school in New Orleans to be able to provide services for every disability. Because of the all-charter model (or-- as of the 24-25 school year-- one district-run school while the rest are charter schools), each school is expected to provide for every type of disability that presents at the school. Willow is unusual because its selective admissions requirements determine who becomes enrolled and therefore who reaches the point at which Willow's FAPE obligation attaches.
Interestingly, I came across this article about some charter schools pooling their resources to address special education needs.
Shared special education services coming to some New Orleans schools this fall

Autonomy with Zero Accountability
State lets these thieves siphon 6 figure salaries to huge administrative gangs.
Most are carpetbaggers that spent 2 years at Teach for America then moved to Nola with their friends to party and worked at the liberal RSD.
The taxpayers paid off their student loans and they got huge raises to run OPSB then went to non- profits (we fund) or charters.
Some might define them all as idealist liberal grifters. DEI level big.
State lets these thieves siphon 6 figure salaries to huge administrative gangs.

This kid's dad is a disability attorney trying to make a name for himself and cash in on his kid's disabilities. He's filed multiple law suits in multiple jurisdictions. Not everything is the fault of "ThE LeFt."

What happened to regarded kids cubbies?
When I was a kid there were like 4 or 5 regarded kids and they were all like 8 feet tall and they would run you down and start beating you up and it’d take like 6 adult male teachers to pull them off
Nowadays they’re all sensitive and autistic and not scary. Did they change up the vaccines?

But he couldn't pass the exam, however it was administered. So, one would imagine the ciriculum who be more advanced than his level of education. So are they supposed to pass him on all tests he underperforms on?

Yeah, I posted later on that the kid's lawyer father seemed like the Carmello parents. Using their kid for attention and money.
I honestly HOPE that isn't the case, and that the father is actually thinking that he's doing good. But signs point to him using his son for his own gain.
As far as passing him. I'm not downing on the boy, himself when I write this. But it would be like throwing a kid that can't swim into a 15 foot deep swimming pool. A lifeguard would have to carry him out the entire way.

I'm not wading into that one, y'all can have that discussion. My viewpoint on stuff like mandatory FAPEs is too incompatible with the concept to be of any use.

Sounds like his parents are wacko fricking liberals looking for a lawsuit and a paycheck. If they loved their son why in the hell would they want him is a school that is not specialized in meet his mental and physical needs? Instead they want to go to a school that is not set up for that and force them to change to meet his needs. Not surprised you support this. Go find you a bum to bang and quit posting this crap.

The disabled kid’s dad has been on a mission to sue someone for years -he was the attorney for a lawsuit against Mt. Carmel because they couldn’t accommodate a girl in a wheel chair and also a lawsuit against the RTA.

I would send my kids to a school in the east before I would consider sending them to Willow. I’m friends with a very solid family. Dad is a physician and the mom works for Tulane in some administrative capacity. They have 3 kids who all have Catholic first names. The family doesn’t practice (anymore?) but the mom has Catholic tattoos and I believe the dad was raised Catholic. Anyway, their oldest kid transferred to Willow for middle and high school and now says she’s trans.
