The whole point is data caps to start with are nonsense
The government should do something about that!
Beer caps are nonsense!!!

Far as I know a person can come in and open an ISP and provide whatever level of internet they want , anywhere they want.
Unfortunately this isn't the case. Not because of federal regulations, but mainly state and local.
The incumbent ISPs pay good money to these governments to keep competition out.

After watching this interview, I like this guy.
I was originally against NN, have been leaning toward neutral to it based off the huge clamor and arguments for it, but I'm solidly back in the anti-NN camp. I think Ajit has a pretty strong argument here and anyone who calls themselves "libertarian" (which I don't) should be ashamed to support NN.

What happens when towns start regulating them like utilities. Like they do with electric, garbage etc? Crony deals, min and max charges, ...

Get through that first survey course this semester before you try and come around here and become a forum warrior, alright.
But by all means, spell it out for us simpletons. This should be fun.

Some towns and cities have built their own networks which are far superior service than a majority of ISPs.

Local and State gov'ts already allowed local monopolies bc they get kick backs and campaign contributions.

Well it was fun while it lasted. Have no idea why some of you support getting rid of NN, I guess it was just too much of a good thing.

Says the guy who has been discussing this for hundreds of pages with dozens of people on TD while sticking his fingers in his ears at all responses.
It's been spelled out. You can't accept it.

I never said it was un-American
It just proves the point that caps when talking about the usage of the consumer on the network are bullshite.

If you don't subscribe to cable tv its a big issue.
Lots of people cut the cord, bc they didnt want to pay for channels they don't want and pay to rent the equipment.
So the cheap ppl will be mad. Got it

As tech advances, they'll be in the dust.
Utilities are poorly managed on the public side. I prefer open competition and market forces
