The FAA doesn’t hire for airline pilots.
Not sure if they hire 0, 10 or 100 pilots but what they do hire is ATCs.
Scarier.

Isn’t this against the law?
Is that a concern for Brandon or the entire DEI industry?

everyone knows damn well, "i be witch hunted" was in the top 5
As the guy captured and uploaded that video, I must correct you...
"I been witch hunt since day 1... I been fighting acquisition after acquisition..."

More like cheat codes.
I guess they needed to say Word Up and talk about all those sucka DJs who think they fly, cuz there got to be a reason and you know the reason why.

Affirmative action hires are always what I want in my pilots.
It's not pilots but air traffic controllers. You still don't want a DEI hire directing air traffic.

If they were just as good...they wouldn't need this. They're not.

….all while we are at all time incident and near miss highs….

I love the last sentence being written in ebonics.
"Members that has invested"
"Members that has invested"

One of the buzzwords was
Forty-time.
Forty-time.

I certainly read about it a lot, but do you see DEI in the cockpit for the airline where you are employed?
Not yet. Right now it’s a big social media push, but there is a legitimate lack of qualified candidates who are women or black. I think the big push right now is to get more of those folks into the pipeline for future hiring.
A rough breakdown of what I’ve seen in each new hire class I’ve been a part of:
0/18
5/48
4/56
4/49
All but one of those were women. One black male. Zero POC who were women. All but one of those individuals listed above were exceptionally qualified. The one who wasn’t had a lengthy education background, but really low flight time compared to the rest of us.
An attractive white woman is exponentially more likely to be hired than just about any other demographic right now. It checks one of the correct DEI boxes, and middle aged men are doing the bulk of the hiring.

Female pilots give me the most trepidation. Right, wrong or otherwise on my part. See Kara Hultgreen and recent events. Male and female brains/cognition are very different and we do different things better or worse depending on the task. I don't think if you replaced Sullenberger with a female you have a safe landing on the Hudson River.
