Sorry if already posted but X3s are made in Spartanburg, SC I believe. Definitely in the US.

They are assembled in SC. Parts are still hit with tariffs like most assembly plants in the US

My wife drives one of these. Super nice ride, but I am not a fan of the driver assist feature. If I veer out of my lane to create clearance for a walker or cyclist, it fights me.

Make your own profile if you haven’t and just turn most of the driver assistance automations off in the settings.

Sure Peake and Brian Harris are going to reduce the MSRP on every BMW by 12.4% automatically too.

That's great. I'm going to buy built in US though and get that interest deduction

1. If a 12% reduction in price is what puts a BMW in your range, you can’t afford it. Look up maintenance costs.

This isn't as bad as it was a decade ago.

Got my first one in 2020 fully expecting to get hosed on maintenance costs but nothing was crazy and I owned a Toyota and an F150 previously for comparison.

Got the X7 last year and while it was the most expensive vehicle I've purchased I have no regrets and the basic maintenance has been fine. My 2020 vehicle never had any major problems and all the standard stuff was maybe 10% more, totally with it.

My only problem with the x7 is it has a lot of unnecessary features I never use. I've turned driver assist off any vehicle I've owned because it's just a nuisance.

I don’t get the hate. I love mine. As a grownup (once the babies and Labradors came into the pic) I’ve driven Yukons, Tahoe’s, Mercedes and now I have ‘24 x5 m sport. My Tahoe and Yukon both had lifter issues. Then Tahoe the magnetic ride went out. Expensive repairs!! But the x5 is my favorite car. Yes it was pretty pricey, but a loaded genesis is within a few thousand and there is no comparison to a bmw. My gle had about 100 less hp at the same trim level and similar pricing. I learned how to buy a car and negotiate properly and have many years of maintenance/warranty coverage built in. I was patient and shopped all over Louisiana before stumbling upon bmw woodlands who was EXCELLENT in working up a better deal by thousands (13!!) than anyone else could. I had a nail in a run flat the other day and it cost me 50 to replace it. I pay nothing for routine maintenance. They asked me to buy their warranty products and I told them I’d like to buy but was plainly too expensive. They needed to come down A LOT and they did. BMW woodlands made me a bimmer owner at least for the future.

Buy but make sure you sell before the warranty runs out.

The X3 is made in Spartanburg, SC. So if it's just a little out your range, the bad news is the price isn't tariff related.

Got my forever car a few years back. 2015 jaguar xjl. If I decide to get another car it will be a 60s American made muscle car. Like a 69 SS Camaro or a 65-67 SS Nova.

Never veer for cyclists (except motorcyclists). Your wife’s BMW must hate them as much as any sane, heterosexual person does.

“cyclists” = people on bicycles.
“Bikers” = people on motorcycles.

And they will go straight to jail. Cyclists have a right on the roadway just as anyone. As annoying as it is, most states allow cyclists on roadways under than interstate highways.
On the other hand, riding circles at the park is hard to get in a cyclist’s 40. 50, or more mile bike ride. That’s why they aren’t riding around the neighborhood park. Maybe at the state park but that’s also on the road.

A whole lot of BMWs do live up to the ‘driving machine’ moniker but they are also a maintenance headache and at least 50% of their owner base are either cult members or self-styled elitists.

So there’s that…

The current generation of ICE engines from BMW grade out very well in reliability. Most problems people have these days with BMWs are the everything else. However, about every other make has those problems with electronics and computer systems. So BMW still grades out well for reliability lately because the core mechanical engineering ends up being the quality differentiator.

It really is incredible how much more affordable life has been since Trump got back in to office. Americans can actually buy stuff again.

That's bad news for most Democrats. Their biggest concern is Trump doing well. They would rather him fail and the country go to shite. Stooges like Colbert would have whole comedy routines about it, just so the clapping seals had something to laugh about.
