Because they are making record profits on this World Cup that is blowing the money from all previous world cups out of the water

So they don’t like Trump, but are afraid the profits will stop? They are making record profits because they went from 32 to 48 teams. My point is the world doesn’t hate Trump, just the liberals.

So either FIFA is rigged or not? If a simple phone call to them made them change their mind when they have been more than willing to speak their mind against Trump or they have unprincipled authority. Neither one seems good for them. Or maybe just maybe they reviewed and saw the bullshite call

a no appeal process

The team / country can't file a formal appeal. But FIFA has a rule in place that allows FIFA to take it upon themselves to review.

quote:

27. SUSPENSION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF DISCIPLINARY
MEASURES

1. The judicial body may decide to fully or partially suspend the implementation of a disciplinary measure.

2. By suspending the implementation of the sanction, the judicial body subjects the person sanctioned to a probationary period of one to four years.

3. If the person benefiting from a suspended sanction commits another infringement of a similar nature and gravity during the probationary period, the suspension shall be revoked by the judicial body and the sanction inforced without prejudice to any additional sanction imposed for the new infringement.

4. Disciplinary measures relating to match manipulation cannot be suspended.

The Europeans weren't bitching when Ronaldo was supposed to be suspended for the first 2 games of the World Cup until FIFA used the same Article 27 rule to allow him to only serve 1 game of the original 3 game suspension so he didn't miss any World Cup action.

Yup, if it was on ABC/ESPN, the response would have been:
"Does the U.S. run through the WC continue? Find out tonight at 8 ET/7CT!"

same management that let Stephen A. talk shite about a contending NBA team with majority white starters?

Their morality is fake as shite.

I wish somehow an NHL team would have a #1 line of black guys.

The lack of replays or purposeful bad angles on controversial calls during sporting events on ESPN, place their network somewhere below the proverbial moral high ground.

I would be willing to bet a lot of money that the leaders of major soccer nations have made calls to FIFA in the past...people act like this never happens

Infantino said he gets calls from heads of state, government officials, and business executives from around the world regularly. Does anybody believe those conversations are pure as snow? All of the hysterics over Trump calling him are only because it's Trump.

Most of the skyscreamers are conveniently overlooking that Infantino and FIFA could have said no, the red card stands. Everybody on Earth already knows FIFA does whatever the frick it wants anyway, so the suddenly virtuous soccer media and fans preaching "integrity" is all performative.
