Park employees claimed they witnessed Hearn "forcefully and violently" pulling up the bottom liner of the pool with both hands on June 19, 2026, allegedly damaging a two-square-foot section of the sealant.

Prosecutors cited a verbal dispute in which an NPS employee told Hearn to stop. He allegedly yelled back, questioning why she cared since the pool did not belong to her—behavior that witnesses characterized as belligerent and disrespectful.

Hearn acknowledged to police that he had stopped by the pool on his bicycle and interacted with the liner.

I just love this now after the fact. Now that it was exposed as just bad and shoddy work MAGA all the sudden doesn't care anymore. Imagine that.

Never cared to begin with. You guys are the ones that seem to care about this pool so much. Just like ballrooms. The arrested guy cared so much he went to the pool and pulled up the liner.

WHAT DID TRUMP KNOW ABOUT THE PEELING POOL LINER AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT?

Careful Tim Kaine wants to impeach...

They say NASA astronauts often had problems adjusting to life after Apollo. When you are 35, and knowing your greatest accomplishment is behind you, it must be tough.

In his mid-late fifties (at the time), Tim Kaine must have felt the same. No one remembers him LOSING bigly as the lower ticket to Hillary (not-really named after Sir Edmund) Clinton. But he's had to live with the loss of that great moment for 10 years now.

Why did the police arrest people for vandalism if they weren't vandalising the liner?

Why has the Trump DOJ (not some squishy judge) dismissed ALL of the pool vandalism cases for lack of evidence???

Well yeah… that’s why Pirro had to pull the plug.

Dept of the Interior was going to sit back and let her go after people instead of admitting it.

President Trump, apparently

Yup after he ripped Pirro for not throwing the hammer down on the guy accused of vandalism.

Pirro knew they could never convict based off that info coming to light.

The engineer noted that the “top layer of liner has peeled,” adding that it is “very thin and will not impact the strength of the liner.”

quote:

The person explained in the email that the “contractor stated that the peeled area was ‘overspray’ from spraying the perimeter joint with polyurea,” according to the Justice Department. The engineer warned that the issue could “lead to a 1’-2’ strip that is vulnerable to peeling.”

So the engineer says it won’t impact the strength of the liner. He also says it’s overspray.. He further warns that it could effect a 1 to 2 foot strip…

So where in this email does it green light anyone to vandalize the lining? The person who vandalized it had no knowledge of a relatively minor issue, and even if they did, they still weren’t authorized to vandalize the liner.

This is like building a house and a sub emails the general contractor about a small issue with a piece of siding and then a random a-hole comes by destroys the siding. Does that person get off Scott free because the sub made the GC aware of an issue?

It’s pretty embarrassing that no one at the DOJ can make a case between a documented issue and someone clearly vandalizing a pool.

Where is the evidence that anyone vandalized the liner?

Trump's own DOJ dismissed charges against all four people charged with vandalism based on lack of evidence.

Why are these things being conflated?

Either the guy did it or not. Whether the pool was poorly built, rushed, etc., is irrelevant.
