No sane person thinks this thing was flying through the air like a rocket.
Except for the people who watched and actually understand what the frick they're looking at. You don't understand the difference between the word "gift" and "investment", so no, I wouldn't expect you to understand what thrust propelled flight actually looks like.

Yet everyone in this thread knows exactly what you are doing. Except for the lefties that also despise Elon.
Seek self worth outside the internet. Lying to strangers will not give you gratitude. Only God will.

This is just the start - when Trump introduces us to the aliens, and they show us their technology. I’m afraid Elon will be out of date by a few thousand years. I’m not kidding, this is about to happen. Prepare yourselves accordingly

Just to keep this in a basic frame of reference, the Wright Brothers' first flight was about 120 feet. When this thing hopped/jumped/flew over the lineup of cars, the side-by-side width was at least 87 feet and change.
15 feet on either side is a pretty basic estimate, but it is at least in the ballpark of the "first" manned flight...

Well achtually is about to explain to you with his years of studies on aerodynamics and his secondary field of study in aeronautical engineer that you are wrong. Because he’s an “expert” in this along with his expertise in at a minimum of 11 areas of law.

It's not a flying car. It has compressed gas boosters to make it accelerate faster. These can be pointed at the ground to make it lift off briefly.
I saw a car lift off and fly over several vehicles and then it came down to a pinpoint soft landing. Did it fly several miles? No, but it definitely did fly. As I stated earlier, the tech and wow factor is a 10, the practicality factor is TBD.

thrasher magazine is probably my favorite instagram follow

If the Roadster could actually achieve sustained, controlled flight, it would legally cross the threshold from an automobile to an aircraft. Let me know when the FAA grants aircraft certification so that I can start working on my pilot's license.

I don't think you have to worry about this with the legality/liability issues
What I am curious is how much battery is left after that 0-60 thrust start.
We can include the jumps, too. I doubt even in that setting there is much practicality due to the energy required

My favorite is when he dusts off his West Point education and starts telling people all about the Art of War as if he was Sun Tzu in a past life.

That's the kind of technology I'd like to have with Interstate traffic coming to a rapid halt and a Desi truck driver behind me.

Trump is on the horn this evening asking Elon if the Beast can be retrofitted with this thruster technology,

As I’m showing my son these videos, we are both in amazement of how cool this is. And then the first page here you are downplaying it because you don’t like his politics. You can call it strawman all you want, anyone who has been on this website in the last 10 years knows it. Just stop being a fraud my friend. You don’t need to lie to people on the internet.
This is really cool. For all intents and purposes, this is the first flying car. Do you think, perhaps, Tesla might continue to upgrade the model as they learn more and more about their tech? Do you think Elon has a habit of not improving the business model?

They are amazing
That's why there is no reason to lie about it

Apparently you just enjoy lying

You only choosing these sentences to quote and respond to is very telling.
SFP, your posting history exists. You want to be thought different, then portray yourself better.
