If they just move the headquarters of these agencies outside of DC, you will see natural attrition. I bet a bunch of USDA workers won’t want to move to Topeka, Move Energy to Tulsa. Close the Education department. Sell their buildings in DC. Boom billions saved.

The amount of agencies we have is absolutely insane. Musk said it’s around 450 or so but even his ai wasn’t able to find a complete list because our gov doesn’t even know at least publicly

Yes but the most generous severance for non c-suite’s is 2 weeks for every year. So let’s say you have 22 years at a company you get 44 weeks of severance. Not 2 years, that is a waste of our tax dollars.
I agree the typical is two weeks for every year served. I'm not defending two years salary as a severance in lieu of the standard practice. I'm also not getting my panties in a wad over the announcement of two years salary because I don't know the details.
Since the quote about severance also came after mentioning the expense of government pensions, I'm under the assumption that they are buying out their pension as part of the severance. In this case the NPV calculation on a pension is probably equal to a couple of years salary and would be justified.

Yeah this is a much better plan
I hope Trump doesn't puss out this time like last time
The arguments against this are quite funny. They pretend that this is 1970 and most intraoffice and interoffice communication is in person, and we don't have technology to share documents.
Elon actually could help with THAT process a great deal

The thing they won’t have going for them is age and spending an entire career in something that is useless.
We had millions quit work because their companies ended work from home.
Many of these people will use their entire severance to sit on their arse, then find themselves unemployable two years later

Its wild federal employees have no fear of ever losing their jobs outside of regular insubordination type things. They just exist and are guaranteed a cush retirement. Absolutely insane. No motivation or drive necessary.

Exactly.
Make these fricks miserable.
As you stated Energy in Tulsa, USDA in Topeka.

I only feel bad for the places that would end up getting the hordes of useless fed employees.
Perhaps to offset their effect you move the HQ to somewhere and then setup field offices almost like a distribution network. Then you don’t make too many places into Nova part 2

Next step I'd want is to decentralize the entire govt. Remove all unnecessary agencies and those that survive be centered close to the various areas of their responsibility, not Washington DC.
Actually this would help cull 50% of the employees. Let’s say they move the Dept of Labor to Columbus Ohio. You can say the job requires them to move and they decide to seek other employment.

I honestly don’t understand how these people that have done that are actually surviving.
Then again if you get housing paid for with by the gov or living with parents.

Depleted 401ks, money from parents, driving door dash/uber... credit cards.

Just move them around strategically
There is no reason the SEC should not be centered in NYC
DOE in Dallas or Houston
BLM to like Boise
FBI, CIA, and other critical functions stay around DC

I’m all for cutting the Federal workforce as long as it starts at the top down! There are some absolute idiots in leadership and some absolute work horses in the field. The government is the only place I have ever seen where if you are a terrible employee, it’s actually easier to promote you to get you out instead of firing you

Well technically he’s not a trillionaire yet. But those launches could have come sooner & and cheaper giving shareholders a better return

I’d agree with those moves.
I’d like to move the cia fbi and such out of north va, move them into Maryland somewhere and they might move out of north va if the commute is too bad.

Why does success bother you libtards so much?
they don't want to earn anything. they want a simple 12 step, self help guide through life and people that strive, innovate and hustle should support their sorry asses by giving more than their fair share.
the last time i didn't think i was getting paid enough, i switched jobs. novel concept. they may need to start over, or get the right degree, etc, but they don't think that's "equitable".
it doesn't mean that there aren't crooks, people that were born with a silver spoon, born into families with connections, pork jobs through association and general underhanded dealing. all that serves as an excuse for them to cry because they don't want to work hard, they want it given to them because it was given to someone else.

He's on track for 2027 based on current growth estimates. He will be first.

I would not be opposed to Trump building that beautiful new FBI building in Maryland
I think Langley would cost too much to move
