So instead of suing him, if Elon had just called him the n-word, that would be fine?
Is that your suggestion?
Most adults just ignore drama and move on with their lives. He’s just drawing more attention to an inconsequential tv interview
quote:He is free to have hurt feelings obviously. The suing part is what is ridiculous.
Just a word. No need to get anyone's feelings hurt right?

What could an ordinary citizen do when falsely accused of something like racism in the work place if they can't afford to pay a lawyer for defense?
Well it's a different discussion for normal people and micro impact.
That is a he said/she said situation where even if you could win a judgment, you likely won't collect anything.
For normal people, on the micro scale, it's a different discussion. Just not typically economically viable (and I have been involved in defamation litigation before a few times. Won't touch it now)

Yea this is my point about Elon having unlimited money. He might not win but he can make it hurt financially and send a message to others to stop slandering him
I'm an big Elon fan.. getting that out first.. and this rant isn't even about Elon or this specific situation.
But slander and libel should not be allowed to limit free speech... I've always thought this. It means you really can't say what you think or want to say. I believe that violates my 1st amendment right, even if it is a "false" negative about someone. I've called Joe Biden a nazi and worse on this board. I've called many people many names on here. Can they sue me? Yeah, texhnically I guess they can... and that's wrong.
I don't care what some idiot on CNN says. Are you forced to listen to him or believe him? Don't we say all the time that words can't hurt?
Or you can just use the sticks and stones method.
I should be able to call anyone anything I like. And they can call me anything they like.

As the CEO of publicly traded companies, as well as having investors for privately held companies, he has a fiduciary duty to shareholders by law. Others sabotaging his image and him not defending it could be seen as a failure of his fiduciary duty on his part.
That's one reason and there are others but explaining things to you is pointless so I won't bother.
If the fiduciary responsibility was meaningful to Elon he wouldn't be producing so much ill will against his businesses. My guess is that Bowman gets some sort of gofundme support and his attorneys embarrass Elon and this suit goes away quickly.

When? Link the posts. Because it looks like you’re just making things up and spreading lies while crying about someone calling Elon Musk names.
So you don't like it when someone lies about you???

Replying to @CollinRugg
Time to pull another fire alarm, Jamaal.

I believe those who had lawyers were able to withstand lawfare and get that shite thrown out. The ones who took a plea, were stupid.

People need to learn lying about others for political clout and to get an emotional reaction from their fanbase has consequences.
But it’s not illegal to lie. The people harping on election fraud look silly and so do people claiming Elon is an actual Nazi also look silly.

(or would CNN pay?).
I can't see CNN being liable for what a non-CNN employee says. As for as the choice to air the segment a sitting US Congressman calling a government official a thief and a Nazi is somewhat newsworthy no matter how dumb the Congressman might be.

Hope Elon runs the score up on this shite stain.

The issue with that is that most of the ill will is driven by the very type of false statements made by Bowman

That would be a great idea. I think Elon should buy any news agency reporting falsehoods against Trump or Elon and let Alex Jones run it instead.

I hope he wins every cent Bowman has

You do not comprehend defamation. Your reaction here seems emotional as “Elon man bad”
