then why are you in this thread?

This is the arc of every thread she enters. (ETA, and even most she actually starts herself. )

First time?

Stop it. You are such a prisoner to your feelings in every one of your takes you'd sue if someone called you "5cubbies".

The issue is what then?
the issue to me is solely about free speech. Can you call someone whatever you want without any potential consequences? If i knew the answer, I would have already typed it in.

at that point it is just about trying to save your integrity from a bunch of morons.

People are going to think what they want to think. If someone thinks you are racist, you winning a lawsuit isn’t going to get them to change their minds.

I have no idea what the situation you are referencing is about and I’ve never thought you were racist fwiw.

The reality is you are a blind supporter. And you can’t explain anything to me because that would require you formulating an original thought and we all know all your opinions come exclusively from tweets/social media.

So ironic of you to say this. Proof is in the pudding.

People need to quit with the whole nazi thing. It means nothing essentially.

If this was a private citizen type, there wouldn't be anything Elon could do but if you work at CNN and say this garbage on air, you're asking for trouble.

Whatever Bowman thought he would get out of saying this, he could be looking at some financial hardship. Not worth it.

There are always consequences but they aren’t always legal.

I think the distinction arises when your speech produces harm. Maybe you haven't thought this out, but if you have a diner and you make up fliers about your competitor's diner about how everybody gets food poisoning there, he closes and you profit as a result, was that just "free speech"?

In these kind of cases, a lib all of a sudden is for unlimited free speech

No, we're overly litigious.

But you should be able to call someone names without legal consequences.

I hope Elon forum shops well since Bowman's defamatory words were heard throughout the country.

that's the point IMO. There are legal definitions for defamation. Do these infringe on the 1st?

you draw a line between an individual and a media outlet? I'm not saying that's wrong. I have no idea
