You need to repeat this as frequently as possible, with emphasis on the word earned. The left is spreading the belief that people who have money in the bank don't deserve it, and that's justification for the government to take it.

I wish Trump would make this a focal point. College debt is out of hand. University’s are taking advantage of the system.

Would it not be cheaper to just "award" everyone a "College Degree" and then the rest of us immediately go to "grad school" and the Bachelors is the first "post grad" degree.
Then, every doofus can have their 'self esteem' by saying "I have a college degree": they have ZERO college debt and the rest can actually pursue an education.

My wife and I still have significant college debt, but I’m 100% against this plan even though it would benefit us greatly. No one owes you anything. No loan forgiveness, no universal basic income. You don’t make a better economy or a better society by taking money in pot A and moving it to pot B. You create a better economy by allowing free markets to reward people and businesses that do a good job and allowing people and businesses to fail that do not.

“We love free money, we love free money! We love free money, we love free money!” (Chanted to the cadence of the girls softball chant “We love free bases.”)

In my best Sam McCloud voice - thar ya go.

What do I get? I was a responsible adult who worked in Alaska, 11PM-7AM night jobs, and on-campus jobs to pay for college. I had zero dept after graduating.
am I basically fricked in her magic plan?
Yes.

Those of us who paid back student loans are getting, what in this deal?

talk about throwing your money down the drain. These are some of the worst run schools in the country.

Cut off for-profit colleges from receiving any federal funds (including federal student loans or military benefits). These schools tend to account for a huge number of defaults on their loan payments.
I actually agree with this.

The next logical step for the Democrats is: everyone gets their first house free. If you've already paid off a house, you get nothing.

Since then, student loan debt has spiraled out of control.
It spiraled out of control decades before they took over. It went off the rails when they started backing all student loans. That allowed the massive increase in tuition with almost nonexistent inflation over the last 30 years.

Leftists want to govern to enable the unsuccessful, the unmotivated, the unfit, at the expense of the successful. Those who paid off their student loans will pay to fund the slush funds of universities and the failure and lack of work ethic of those who failed to succeed

I’m all about social responsibility but the system is broken. The interest rate alone on these loans is criminal.

You must be young.
My loan was 9% and I thought that was nice and low.

She's all-in, ain't she?
I'm waiting for her to announce reparations for the red man. Didn't Canada do a flavor of that a few years back?

You didn't investigate the terms BEFORE accepting the money ?

Guys, we gotta wake up to this fact (no matter how shitty it is) that people will vote on this item ALONE.

Cancel $50,000 in student loan debt for every person with household income under $100,000, and give “substantial debt cancellation” to every person with household income between $100,000 and $250,000. (Those making above $250,000 wouldn’t qualify.)
I love how they continue to use the word equality. But nothing that they say actually means equality.
