I was at a Beto rally (long story) that was a $500 donation, intimate meet and greet. It was about 3 months after the mid-terms and the very early beginning of his short presidential “campaign”.
It was a huge bust...it was at a restaurant originally intended to use the entire space but they quickly switched it to the private room when only like 20 people showed up.
Two high-school girls with their mom showed up and I saw the people at the door tell them it was $500 a person (I was with 4 people that got in free; imagine there were more) and the girls went back and kind of huddled with their mom...they came back and said the girls wanted to spend their Highschool graduation money (that’s the real timeline, it was near graduation or right after) to see Beto and the mom would stay outside.
This was a BUSTED event for a candidate that was polling at less than 1% who dropped out something like 2 weeks later...they GLADLY took the money. Made the mom wait outside.
Two girls who were young and impressionable to the point they actually believed in a politician as a person and not the political opportunist they all are...sat in the corner the whole time while Beto didn’t do shut but show up and shake hands then leave in about 30 minutes.
It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.
How people can support the parasites I just don’t understand.

Trump would have told her to keep it while handing her a $100 and say, "keep working hard"
many such stories of him actually doing this out there. They have no chance in November
