Are you claiming New York, California, Illinois, etc don’t have massive sway on our national government?
You understand the Ec Is meant to BALANCE power between the small and large states. The large states already have the inherent power that comes with being the largest population centers with the largest output and economies. They are already the top powers.
The swing states are meant to take some of that power away from the top dog to give some scraps to the small states so they don’t get overpowered every single time.
You just want to strip any sense of autonomy and power from the small and weak, and give it to the strong and powerful.
In other words. You are trying to enslave the minority to preserve power to the all powerful. The very thing your democrat side claims to be against.

No. I'm claiming that they're irrelevant in presidential elections. Obviously they have power. And why did you list the blue states and ignore the red ones like Texas and Florida?

How is a state with 55/538 electors “irrelevant”?
By every qualitative measure, California is the single most important state in the electoral college.

Eliminating the electoral college would guarantee all future presidents are democrats. Democrats states especially California have shown they will cheat in elections . The electoral college makes it a lot harder for democrats to cheat .

There is an argument that the EC is non-representative in this sense. I gather most here live in smaller population centers (or have different politics than the majority of their large cities).
Kamala may be simply trying to drum up support from far-left donors in anticipation of a 2028 run.

It's irrelevant to presidential elections because it's not in play. It's not going red anytime soon. I think you're misinterpreting things. The only states that matter in presidential elections are seeing states.
