Either sessions or jones is dropping a bad story on Tubbs: Clifton Robinson rape charge

When Clifton Robinson, the short but quick receiver from Naples, Florida, returned to the Auburn University football team in August 1999 after pleading guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor to avoid going to trial after being charged with the second-degree rape of a 15-year-old girl, first-year head coach Tommy Tuberville pledged to figure out the right punishment for him.
"Clifton is back on the team," Tuberville said. "He and I will sit down today, and I'll tell him that we do things right around here, so he can expect there will be some punishment. What it is, I don't know yet."
That punishment ended up being a mere one-game suspension from the team's Sept. 4 season opener against Appalachian State. Auburn won 22-15.
As coach, Tommy Tuberville handed a one-game suspension to player charged with rape of 15-year-old

This might actually be the nail. I don't think it was Sessions I think it was Jones camp that put this out there. They want Tubs vs Jones and want a toy Moore part 2.

Translation:
"This kid is big, he is strong, and he is very fast; additionally, he can catch the football and never fumbles."

Lol yeah this is actually a badge of honor in the general election. Will pick up black votes.
100% this was put out by the Sessions camp.

Tommy Tuberville is bad news if you’re a conservative who’s tough on immigration and culture wars.
Tubby is an amnesty supporter owned by big tech and the cheap labor lobby. He literally has Mark Zuckerberg’s amnesty lobbyist who is a confirmed Never Trumper running his campaign.
He also hates the confederate flag and told fans not to bring them to ole miss games and that was during a time where political correctness was nowhere near as bad as it is now.

Clearly Tubby didn’t punish Robinson enough.
quote:
Tuberville's punishment didn't succeed in teaching Robinson to stay out of trouble. In February 2000, Robinson was arrested on assault charges caused by a fight. In August 2004, several years after leaving Auburn, Robinson was arrested and ultimately convicted in 2006 of aggravated battery of an off-duty police officer.

Jeff sessions is bad news if you're a trump supporter who's tough on draining the swamp, constitutionalist who doesn't abandon allies during investigations, and non stop war on drugs (culture wars).

The story was that the player got his girlfriend pregnant, then the girlfriend's father caught him in bed with her little sister. It was consensual, but she was underage. Charges were dropped. Lucky the dad didn't take him out. Tubby should have kicked him off the team.
I'm not surprised that dirt is starting to come out. It's Alabama. Could be more to come.

He suspended him indefinitely until the charges resolved.
You people need to quit changing your stance on things. If anything, we have current coaches that have been more lenient on kids who beat women

Did you know that Bill Barr along with 3 other AGs wrote an Op-Ed saluting Jeff Sessions for his tenure as Attorney General?
It was actually more effective than I realized. It’s a good read and I encourage you to do so.

I lived it. I don't need an op-ed. Thanks though.

What exactly was Tubbs supposed to do? Was he supposed to have him breaking rocks in the stadium parking lot before games? Here we are in a never ending crisis of poor blacks being unfairly treated by law enforcement and the judicial system. Now we have an example of that same system showing leniency and an opportunity for him to better his life and it’s viewed as a bad thing 20 years later. People really need to make up their minds what they are actually pushing for.

I'm voting for Tuberville in the runoff but I'll gladly vote for either him or Sessions on November. I couldn't care less about something he did as a coach 21 years ago.

BTW, I know we're now in a guilt by accusation mode, but FWIW, Robinson pled guilty to a misdemeanor, not rape. It came with one year of probation and 200 hours of community service.

So did I.
Some people including me, just didn't pay enough attention. That's my fault.

I don't know who did it, but liberals know the phone number of the Examiner too.

There's a story like this available on almost anyone who ever coached a down in the SEC. I'm more concerned with the fact that Tuberville is literally campaigning on nothing. (Unless you consider a photo-op with Trump "campaigning") He is completely a bought suit for pork and cheap labor. He will be globalist, soft on immigration and borders and prone for a surprise vote with the left when you least expect it. See Richard Shelby.
