I voted for Duke. I figured I'd rather a racist as governor than a crook.

I get that Edwards had baggage,

Edwards didn't just have baggage.

He was the most evil thief in Louisiana history that stole an incredibly bright future from Louisiana. If Edwin had done the right thing and acted like an honest, innovative and forward thinking Governor with an eye towards the future instead, Louisiana would be an economic miracle to being something like where Tennessee and Georgia is today with Baton Rouge and New Orleans as one big metro area like Dallas/Fort Worth and Minneapolis/St. Paul areas.

But no, Edwin chose to steal from the innocent people of this state and everybody that mattered to enrich himself and his friends, didn't give a shite about improving Louisiana for the future, and left us with a constitution that that has ruined this state and handcuffed the legislature and the Governor so much they're severely limited in their options to right the fiscal ship in Louisiana.

Edwin Edwards is a piece of shite that still belongs in prison.

I was 11. My father voted for Duke, and I never really respected him all that much after.

This race made me really think. Was at Saints game and both candidates were there. Shook both their hands. Edwards seemed like a cool guy and Duke was not. So I voted for Edwards.

I was at SLU and Duke came to speak. I went and watched and then WWL tried to interview me. Said no chance and rolled out. The blacks on campus were there and it was very tense. I would not attend something like that today.

I was living/working in BR during that election. One time in my life that I did NOT vote. Just could not bring myself to vote for either.

This is the type of choices an open primary is spring loaded to give you. Fortunately, this one turned out fairly well. The crook beat the racist, and ended up enjoying a lot of stripped sunshine.

And how would you feel if you now that the current governor, John Bel Edwards, not only attended Edwin's 90th birthday party but also gave a speech for him there?

Anyone who considers Edwin Edwards good company is not someone worth voting for, should not be trusted and should be ostracized.

I'm even more thankful and proud for my vote for David Vitter while everyone was raging about his own private affairs that was only between him, God and his family.

If you think JBE's love of EWE--EWE BTW employed his father for a while--is bad just watch this talk he gave on Huey Long

JBE and Huey Long

We should remove the statue and grave of Huey Long from the capitol grounds today!!

He was the Louisiana Maduro.

IF this isn't a virtue signal then i don't know what is. Congratulations to you. Where shall we start your parade?

You tarnish the memories of your father based on his voting record? Something tells me, that you are either A) making this up, or B) didn't get along with your dad to begin with.

Apparently, I was selling my own knowledge short when I've been calling JBE the political twin of Edwin Edwards.

No they weren't. I know that's what you want it to be, but that's not what it was.

What negative and tangible effect did it have on my life and why should I have cared about it?

Did it cost me money?

Did it make my insurance or taxes go up?

Anybody else remember the plane writing "DUKE" in the sky over Baton Rouge? I believe it was the Friday afternoon before election day.

I don't know you or care about any of that. It has nothing to do with the fact that this...

...is a lie.

Ageplay with hookers = nbd

Ageplay with hookers while at the same time supporting unconstitutional marriage bans in the name of family values = an Edwards victory

Unless you're stupid, you know this. Just be honest about it.

Pussy.

If you're not going to answer the question I asked you then I'm not going to play your little game of side swiping your opinion on me because well, I don't care about your opinion as I never asked for it.

But then again, I still saw something that's a so misleading insinuation in your opinion that has to be refuted.

quote:

If Vitter was gay and getting nasty with rent boys, you'd have a point but he's not so you're an absolute moron.

Lol you think fricking other women means he's wrong for thinking two dudes marrying each other is nasty.

And I support gay marriage for the record.

quote:

Just be honest about it.

I'll do that.

When I go to vote at the ballot box, I vote for candidates who want to enact policy that I support, not vote against my own interests over private affairs that has nothing to do with me or any tax dollars that we pay for.

Winners make policy, losers go home.

And I want the policies that I support to be the winner here.
