But in the long run something bad will happen like as asteroid smash or another ice age or whatever. The world doesn't stay static as much as people would like it to. Many of the 12,000 year old large animal fossils found at the LaBrea tar pits are now extinct. 12.000 years ago. Man managed to escape that extinction event.

I am a scientist (I have a CSC degree). I would like to get together a group of 100 fellow scientists to write a report card on our planet. I want to write the report in such a way that I, along with my co-authors, can monetize it for the next 25 years. We'll create the problem, and then we'll offer our services as consultants to solve the problem.
The first solution will be to have the letter "M" stricken from the English language...

When the earth was in a freeze for million years and started warming up was that a sign the world was ending? Asteroids hitting earth and causing global change and killing off most all creatures didn’t kill it. I believe toxins were dumped into the oceans with volcanic eruptions and again asteroids, seems that humans thrive now. I don’t think the world is ending, changing yes, but it’s always has been

I really don't know what to believe when it comes to climate alarmism.
But what I do know is that after 20+ years of this doomsday messaging, I've come to the conclusion that if it's as bad as they say it is, me using a reusable plastic bottle every day isn't going to move the needle.
And taxing me into the poor house to bankroll some economy-killing green agenda isn't going to move the needle, either.
So I guess I'll just carry on...

Is this necessarily a bad thing? If anything, the earth is overpopulated. Perhaps we would all benefit from a cataclysmic event that eliminates half (or more) of the population of India, Eastern Asia, and the moslem corridor?
