in reality their numbers are so small they are truly insignificant.

Ok that’s a good point.
If the republicans are smart they would hang this on the head of every Dem running.

Hell their former candidate from 2016 is on a world "America is a cesspool of bigotry because they didn't elect me" tour for fricksake
She's literally touring the world telling them all that America sucks arse and that they better be careful or they will suck arse too
She might as well be an expat German from 1935 warning the world.

There was a time when we looked “across the aisle” and saw caring people who, despite our political differences, shared our vision of a more perfect union.
And you still called them bigoted, racist, homophobe Nazis.
quote:
We have watched in horror as our countrymen praise an ignorant, self-serving idiot who insults our allies, places incompetent people in positions of power, and seeks to dismantle the institutions that educate our children, oversee the care of our veterans, and protect the environment.
You did this to yourself. It’s not the fact that so many people were fooled into supporting someone so seemingly uncouth, it is that YOU in your treatment of your fellow Americans and praise of a candidate and party which completely hijacked the primary process to insure victory for one person so alienated those voters that they preferred to vote for someone in abhorencence to their moral code and philosophy just to spite you.
You can’t keep insulting and degrading honest people over and over and over again and not expect backlash at some point. In Trump, the backlash found someone willing to fight back. You didn’t lose because there is something wrong with the voters who went the other way. You lost because there is something wrong with you, your message, and your party. You will need to change your strategy to get those people back.

Does anyone here actually believe that the. rants on the D. U. Is an accuraterepresentative of a substantial portion of any political POV?

Good read but I disagree with part of the foundation.
I believe the sky-screamers are the small but vocal minority within the Left ideology. They get all the press because outrage sells and they live to be outraged.
I honestly believe the majority of unbending voters like that are low-information voters that see politics as a team sport where their team is "good" and should always win and the opposing team is "bad" and should always lose. When pressed for reasons why the other team is bad, they're hard-pressed to come up with a fully formed, granular argument that goes beyond "cuz they suck!"
This is endemic to both sides of the political aisle. The problem, at least to me, is that while those on the Right are often put in a framework of "religious nutcase", the media frames those on the Left as "champions of justice" regardless of how ridiculous their platform.
This feeds the "your team is bad" philosophy, empowering those low-information voters to feel justified in however they confront people of opposing beliefs (see: election 2016 rampage).

This version of the USA won't be able to defeat them. It will take a very long time, but, IMHO it's not in the cards for the USA to survive forever, I'm afraid. Indoctrination of youth is effective.

The Grand Ol’ Party is no longer a political party – it’s a collection of thieves who have stolen from the poor and middleclass in order to line the pockets of the wealthy.
Yet they elected then voted for a candidate that took record levels of campaign money from those bankster thieves and allowed them to skate off with golden parachutes when it came time for accountability. How does a far left regressive become this fricking stupid?!?

Hahahaha
Show us some space between DU rants and Keith Ellison
You know, the fricking vice chair of their party

LOL. Not only is this false, you need to call Hillary if you want to pretend it's true because she's touring the world proving you wrong.

Exactly.
I've said for 30 years. I think the left is misguided and their ideas are horribly unintelligent and likely to damage the nation.
In other words, I think they are WRONG.
They, in return, think all of my ideas are motivated entirely by some form of hatred. In fact, quite often, they don't even grant that I've come to my conclusions via any actual thought other than "me hate women, me hate black people, me hate hate hate".
All I ask is that they do me the same courtesy I do them. Trust me, being called stupid is NOT as bad as being called a Nazi. It's not even in the same zip code.

They are so triggered by Christians that it gets brought up 3 times in that lengthy autistic screed. The reason Christians voted trump is because they correctly ascertained the other side hates them, belittles them at every opportunity, and would love nothing more than to grind them to dust. It’s not hard to understand.

Hell. I'm atheist and I find liberals to be completely unhinged on the subject of religion.
