Does the Left/Democrats have a limiting principle?

What would stop them from reaching too far? To what extent will they not reach too? Are there any consequences or anyone that exists that could deliver such consequences if they did or do reach too far?
The American Republic was designed to feature checks and balances that would constantly pull and tug on eachother to keep the system in balance.
What happens when all the institutions quit pulling against eachother, and pull together in one direction? Is there anyone that can counteract that and how?

I can’t understand why we don’t demand every democrat running for any office to list the things they DON’T think the government should meddle in.

Every time I hear about something they proposed I always think, man thats about the dumbest thing Ive ever heard of and think they couldn't be worse than that......until the next time I hear about something.

the very nature of leftist politics and progressivism is that things must be continually "improved" upon until we reach the perfect state of existence. however since human nature doesnt allow for a perfect state of existence, eventually "progress" just becomes "destruction" and will continue until violence or the threat of violence stops it. the threat of violence no longer stops it, so the only question now is how far down the path we will go until there is violence. personally, i think we still have a long ways to go (mass starvation will probably be what triggers it eventually this go round). we'll see. it wont be pretty.

People who can justify killing innocent unborn babies for no reason other than convenance and say men can be women have no limits and no honorable principles. The current leadership of our country sets the standard. Censoring citizens, making up lies attempting to impeach a sitting president, using Ukrainian lives to try and weaken Russia and enrich themselves by way of MIC. The list is long.
