I didn't vote for him but I also don't think he's as bad as some of you think.
For example, he didn't vote no on permanent lower income tax. You did.

Landry did what so many others do. He just kept running for stuff and eventually built a base that was too much for other republican to beat in a primary. And the republican was going to win no matter what.
Aside from some MAGA social issue grandstanding, he's not much different than your average LA dem. This is the way it will be going forward. They know they can't win as democrats so they stick an R next to their names and we get nothing but RINO's.

Supported the first part of the repeal of the Stelly Income Tax increases. That didn’t happen solely under Jindal. First step was under her administration with her advocacy.
Fought and publicly called out Francis Thompson on his crooked arse Poverty Point stuff, something Jindal wouldn’t even do, and line item vetoed slush funds for it.
Was known for vetoing pet projects that had no business being funded by state government.
I wouldn’t classify her as horrible. I’d classify her as someone why over her head, but she went against types of inner party cronyism that Jindal frankly didn’t have the stomach to do when he got in the mansion.

I never really did, but he's still an improvement over what we had, and a step in the right direction. Louisiana needs to nut up and elect a better Governor next time, and a good Republican senator to replace Cassidy and we might be on the come up. There are already some positives here from where i'm sitting, but we have a long way to go.

I do agree with this. Lawyers are absolute scumbags for the most part. The reason we pay so much for so many things are these opportunistic pieces of crap. Landry is the same as them.
