I’ve noticed lately that many politicians refer to themselves as public servants. Makes it sound pretty noble, selfless. Do you agree?

They should be. That's why I think they should be paid nominally and live in dorm style housing when in Washington.

Do i think they are supposed to be: Absolutely

Do i think they are: Absolutely Not

Regardless of D or R, time and time again we watch congressman and senators sell out what their actual constituents want for the interest of lobby groups or foreign groups who line their pockets.

They are and should act as such as their salaries are paid by our tax dollar. But instead; they are crooked and look for their own self-interests.

Politicians (with few exceptions) have always been quite full of themselves.

I’d say with the way things have evolved in this country, the public serves the politicians.

No. I don't feel represented as a "constituent" taxpayer by my Texas representatives at all (and local municipality as well). The people i vote for are Red, but once in office it's near impossible as an individual to bring a concern to the table and have it taken seriously. From county road conditions to city blight to fiscal responsibility to national fraud waste and abuse resulting in arrest and accountability. It's a press flesh scam for tge greater part. Corporations and SIGs own politics now.

“You should be a politician” was said tk the folks early on.

It fed their desire, early on, to do something good. For the people or themselves.

Self always comes first, then deal with the greater good.

I actually cannot say how I would handle it. It sounds really daunting to go against the collective self servers. They form a fraternity and you cannot avoid them.

If you go against them, they will ostracize you. But it goes beyond getting blackballed from their group, they need to destroy you because you can expose them.

Their fraternity grew so rapidly long ago.

I don’t. I just learned a few days ago that Michigan has not elected a Republican Senator since 1996. We have had republican governors so it’s not out the realm of possibility.

Unless something crazy happens, John James will be the republican candidate for governor. We will get to see the left attack a black dude again.

They’re supposed to be but they’re not anymore. The Biden quote to the Michigan auto worker during his campaign always sticks out to me “I don’t work for you man”
