There is no doubt in my mind that the trannie who killed those kids in Minnesota was possessed. His self-portrait pretty much shows it.

I disagree. I think this has been a very interesting thread.

I do believe in demons and possession.

There is an old house by our old hunting lease we used to use as a camphouse. It was an old house, built in the 1880s. In previous years there had always been a handful of us that stayed in it, but the number dropped as folks found other houses or trailers. I was the only one who stayed there one season. That was the last season I ever went in that house in the dark.

While there was a master bedroom, I didn’t stay there. It gave me the creeps. So I stayed in the same room I had always stayed in, a smaller bedroom at the opposite end of the house. Until I started waking up at 2 am in the morning with the feeling someone was there. There was never anyone there and I would go back to sleep. Other weird things would happen. I would get up to pee in the middle of the night and the faucet would be running in the bathroom. I always told myself I must have left it on when I brushed my teeth. Even after it did it again, and I knew I had turned it off. And lights would be on that I knew I had turned off. And vice versa. But I told myself it was just my memory.

The last night I slept in that bedroom I awoke to find the alarm clock blinking. Power had flashed. I got up and went in the kitchen to see what time the wall clock said it was. It was, as always, 2 something in the morning. Then I noticed something. Neither the stove nor microwave clocks were flashing. I went into the den. The clock on the VCR wasn’t flashing. Only that alarm clock had lost power. I drug my pillow and blanket into the den, closed the door to the rest of the house, and slept on the couch.

I continued to sleep on the couch the next few weekends. I told myself it was because the fireplace was in there and it was warmer. One evening I got back to the house after dark from hunting. Bubba, the neighbors black lab was out in the gravel driveway. I petted him a minute and opened the door to the house. The last few weeks I had begun letting him sleep inside. I was gathering up my stuff in the truck when he comes shooting out of the front door yelping. He stopped out in the drive, turned and began barking at the house. I was trying to make sense of it when he tucked his tail and ran up the hill towards “his” house. Weird I thought.

That night I awoke in terror on the couch. Unable to move. Unable to scream. Unable to breath. I could feel something holding me down. I could feel something inside me. My eyes were bugging out of my head, neck bulging, as I tried to sit up. I thought I might be having a heartattack my heart was pounding so hard. And then it was over. I was able to move. I sat up in terror. I had no idea what had happened. But I knew I wasn’t staying in that house a minute longer. I slept in my truck. Over the next few months I read up on it. It was sleep paralysis they said. But I wondered why it had never happened before. Or since. And why so many others described feeling something on or in them. And others described seeing demonic beings. The doctors explained it was all just in the head. Just the same I thought, I was never staying in that house again.

Fast forward a year and I had a place of my own. A new member was staying in the house. I hadn’t told anyone about what happened, they would have thought I was nuts. One morning before daylight a few of us met at the sign in station before daylight to sign in and hunt. The new guy looked like hell. Shell shocked crossed with a heck of a hangover. He looked so bad a few of us asked if he was ok. He said he didn’t sleep good. That was the last day he hunted there. After the season he asked me if I would get a climber out of the woods for him, he wasn’t getting back in the club. I asked him why. He wouldn’t really say. I remembered how he had looked that morning. I asked him if it was something we’d done, the members. He said no, he just was going to find something else. Then I asked him if something had happened in the house. After a long moment of silence he said something like “you will think I am crazy” right before explaining what had happened to him that night. On the same couch I had been, he woke to find something holding him down on the couch, unable to move, unable to scream, unable to breath. And then it was gone. He said he’d never experienced anything like it, but he wasn’t going to give it another chance.

I can’t say it was demonic. But it was something. And I don’t care how the doctors explain it, it wasn’t natural.

After going down the rabbit hole of sleep paralysis, I wonder if some cases are not akin to a demon trying on a pair of shoes to see if they fit or taking a car for a test drive.

Yes, absolutely, but I believe true. Evil is so cunning that you may not recognize it. There is a reason that there is an exorcist in every Catholic diocese in the United States.

Why mock God? Makes no sense. It just shows your heart is black, meaning dark, why does any way but God's way thrill you? Think about it, if God lives in us Godly things enthrall us, if Satan is our father, our hearts will love evil things. It is what it is, but one day each man will answer unto his Maker, the Creator. Here is where Satan is soooo brilliant.

He gets people do hate their own loving Creator's ways, and to love his ways of rape, debauchery, lust, greed, hate et al. And God doesn't not punish us, not really, Hell is really just us being separated from God, that's all it really is. Joy becomes a DARK FOREBODING DEPRESSION absent God, Peace becomes Chaos, Love becomes Hate, etc. so all who reject the free gift, accept the fact that without this cleansing, they can not abide with God, thus THEY CHOOSE Satan over God, I hate to tell you what the liar and his demons will do unto you in hell. You see this earth/universe is hell, Satan wins his prize, we get a New Heaven and New Earth and God then sets this whole universe ablaze, and its a TIME TRAP, that Satan nor anyone else can get out of.

I'm not sure if Demons are behind it, but once I got to know a particular member of my husband's family, I started to consider that evil was real and could not be reasoned with. I never got to who causes evil to manifest, I just became certain that it exists.
