The main problem democrats have right now is their actual positions are extremely unpopular so they have to run deceitful campaigns, pretending to be moderates while fully knowing what they actually want to do isnt moderate at all. This works on solid blue voters but it comes off as them hiding something to everyone else. Say whatever you want about Trump and his policies, but for the most part he's doing exactly what he said he would be doing. He didnt move farther right after winning the election like all of these "moderate" democrats always end up doing. They cant be their selves and win so everything comes off as fake, because it is.

- Pushing transgender narratives to our children and government funded sex change surgeries to children and adolescents.
- Pushing DEI hiring on our military that saw officers dressed as furries and gay sailors openly dressed as women on our aircraft carriers.
- Skyrocketing deaths from drug overdoses.
- Skyrocketing homelessness in blue cities.
- Skyrocketing violent crime rates in blue cities.
- Decriminalization of shoplifting below $1,500 in value of goods.
- Out of control inflation that tripled during the Biden/Kamala admin.
Etc., etc., etc.

I think democrats are disenchanted with their choices on the executive level. Biden was a contrived arrangement. Same for Kamala. It’s hard to vote for someone who was not duly elected to run. Neither of those 2 were legit candidates. So their party is deranged.
Then on a local level, just look at the results of democrat run states and cities. It’s not good and people feel that. Anti police makes many democrats feel unsafe. Transgender sports is just bizarre and many democrats object to that. Open borders take jobs away from American blue collar workers which impacts democrats.
Trump plugged into that and it works.

I guess they think censorship, fiscal, threatening your own citizens, open borders, trans ideology pushing, men in girls sports, climate change ideology, bureaucracy, and energy policy are all golden.
Notice they didn’t say open borders was a bad idea, just that they didn’t effectively defend Kamala on it.
