This is their own autopsy -- they'll never admit to the things we see -- but they even admit that the GOP flat out kicked their asses.
From a pure political functional standpoint, the Dems have no answers and now no longer seem to understand social nuances to where they can get their messages across. Though it would help them if they have a coherent message which they don't beyond identity politics.

The key to that ad is less the trans in itself but the successful characterization that liberals care more about fringe social issues than affordability. The fact GOP is not doing anything on the affordability front is a problem because you’re not winning election in November on Title IX anti-trans cudgels.

You can bank on at least 3 things for the midterms, 1) keep the gas prices high because the people hate it and its because of Trump's undeclared war on Iran, 2) wealth envy, billionaires aren't paying their fair share, 3) racism in redistricting.
