This falls under the adage, that I myself SOMETIMES adhere to, of "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all"
I was tempted to say something when the news first broke on this board, but didn't say anything at all because I share essentially Trump's view on the man. But I didn't.
This does indeed fall under the same category of those that celebrated Kirk's death.
(I am reminding myself that Trump was shot by people that share Reiner's views however)
It is one thing to be an outside observer, but being shot and a target is indeed a slightly different thing. Things change when the lead flies at you.

Was it appropriate? Probably not.
Was it truthful? 100%
I've never seen the amount of derangement and psychosis that someone simply being a Republican brings out in the Far Left.
There are folks on the Left who have trouble coping with day to day life simply because of a man who resides in the White House.
A man they have zero true knowledge of and who hasn't affected their life any differently than Biden did. And that psychosis is starting to drive people to kill.
Was it truthful? 100%
