After reading the thread now, I see most all posters know nothing about Kent.

The responses are wholly indicative of such.

Losing someone like Kent is a major moment and should be a warning about what Trump and this war are doing to his base.

Exactly. Like some one said " So the head of the "National Counterterrorism Center" is mad because we've taken out the direct sponsor of most of global terrorism over the past 50 years?

Make it make sense."

let see where this guys lands as his next "job".....

also...
He voted for George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 before shifting his political beliefs towards libertarianism, supporting Ron Paul.[8] According to voting records, he was registered with the Libertarian Party in the 2012 presidential election until 2019, when he became a Democrat; Kent voted for Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Party
From Bush....to Ron....to Bernie.....

Disappointing that Kent would choose this method.

While that's one hell of an accomplishment, it doesn't mean he's the best for that position. Eveyone on a team needs to buy into what the coach is doing. Obviously, this guy wasn't. It's best that he removed himself. IMHO

If you're Tulsi, do you:
(1) Resign now as opposing regime change conflicts was your entire calling card?
(2) Ride out your high-profile job, take notes for three more years, and write a great book later?

Unless Trump declares victory and ends this conflict, Vance is going to have to make the impossible decision of riding it out and having his political career ended or take the risk by resigning, standing against Trump and dealing with the blowback from Trump diehards.

He wont win in either situation. Trump has screwed him and his chances in 28. The only way out for Vance is to convince Trump to end this unpopular conflict.

This is false. All of you speak as if all Americans are within our borders. Iran is a constant threat to our soldiers in the ME.

I guess you are right in a way. They have attacked our soldiers 100s of times over the past few years, so the threat isn't imminent. It's already here.

He’s right. All of the “greatest ally” people will deny it but we absolutely went to war because Israel told us to

That's not exactly what he's saying.

We get a ton of intel from Israel. What he's saying is that Israel deceived Trump and gave him false intel.

That's a somewhat dubious claim IMO when Iran itself was claiming they had enough materials to put together 11 functional nuclear weapons, but it looks like he's rehashing the Bush, "Weapons of Mass Destruction" criticism.

I know he likes to write emotional letters and share them, and his disapproval of Trump's leadership, to the world at large.

So under your analysis if Greg says he wants to kill you and Greg starts assembling a weapon. But you destroy the weapon and then Greg starts building the weapon while chanting death to you, you don't think the verbal threat and Greg taking action to follow through on the treat constitutes a threat?

Clearly, I do. He's the former Director of National Counterterrorism who apparently wasn't aware of which nation is behind a metric ton of the world's, and yes, also our own, terrorist attacks.
