Russia supplied a shite load of diesel to countries like India and China and others who don’t care about western sanctions. Ukraine has put a hurting on Russia’s refineries and now the countries it was supplying are having to buy from other sources. The Saudi east-west pipeline is shut down which caused Saudi Arabia to shut down oil shipments to Europe. Diesel always goes up in the fall due to harvest demands and stockpiling it for winter heating. Plus there are probably some middle men involved in the process who have figured out a way to run up the price and make extra money for themselves. Add all of those things together and you get $6.50/gal diesel.

The restriction of supply in world fuel markets is due to Iran and and its proxies restricting the flow of oil in the middle east. Open the flow of oil in the middle east and the world market price will stabilize.

Put the Ukraine flag in all of your social media profile pics and then maybe Zelensky will stop hitting diesel plants in Russia.
Remember, US has plenty of production of oil and diesel. But the prices are set by speculators globally.
