Did your father ever tell you to keep six months cash at your home at all times?

The cash that Willis used to pay back Wade for their trips was already kept in her home, she testified.

Defense lawyer Ashleigh Merchant asked the district attorney how she accessed the cash if she did not retrieve it from an ATM, given she’s paid via direct deposit. Willis replied that her father told her growing up that, as a woman, she should always keep at least six months cash at her home at all times.

“I always have cash at the house…all my life,” she said.

Merchant pushed back that the cash must have come from somewhere, but Willis called it “fungible” and said she had collected it throughout her life.

“Nobody gives me anything; I am sure that the source of the money has always been the work, sweat and tears,” Willis said.

With inflation that's easy to do. Most people are in debt or don't make nearly enough for that.

Always smart to stash large amounts of cash inside the house.

No, and if he did, someone like Fani Willis would probably steal it under civil asset forfeiture.

"As a woman". Everything that is putrid about self-proclaimed " Boss babes" was on full display with this strong black warrior woman.

Must be related to Ex Congressman William Jefferson...

She probably keeps it in the freezer too.

The majority of families couldn’t buy 4 new tires in an emergency so I’m pretty sure the average person who keeps a large stash of cash at home probably has $2-4k on hand.

Not even close to 6 months.

I think the adage is keep 6 mo in savings.

Not cash in your home, that’s absurd.

Growing up in poverty there was no cash in our house. Dad might keep $20 in his wallet and mom $20 in her purse. We kids had zero...not even allowances.

Today I see no need for storing cash. The ATM machine is on my way to Starbucks.

Bill Jefferson and the 300K in his freezer approve of this strategy.

I never have serious cash on hand unless taking it out of a bank.

The scumbags she has set free during her tenure will be paying her house a visit.
