“Nobody gives me anything; I am sure that the source of the money has always been the work, sweat and tears,” Willis said.

The majority of families couldn’t buy 4 new tires in an emergency so I’m pretty sure the average person who keeps a large stash of cash at home probably has $2-4k on hand.

Growing up in poverty there was no cash in our house. Dad might keep $20 in his wallet and mom $20 in her purse. We kids had zero...not even allowances.
Today I see no need for storing cash. The ATM machine is on my way to Starbucks.
