Just that you keep 60k at your residence.

Also, if shite hits the fan, promissory paper notes from the federal reserve would be worthless.

Which is about 6 months of my expenses.

Maybe I want to participate in something that I don't want Visa, or whatever bank to know.

Obviously if there were societal collapse, it would be paper to wipe my arse with. But I don't like being told what to do and will do it my way. It's working out just fine.

So she would have to go through the inconvenience of going to a bank and withdrawing cash .

She didn't withdraw it from the bank. She accumulated it by over paying for groceries and getting cash back. Or so she says.

Willis replied that her father told her growing up that, as a woman, she should always keep at least six months cash at her home at all times.

So why did she spend it on vacations? Did she replenish it?

What if she loses her job?

Where exactly would you keep the contents of those white envelopes, certainly not in a bank.

Try to keep up, a black woman is lapping you.

And I'm not a scared bitch because it's pretty damn secure under my roof. 50-60k isn't worth someone literally putting their lives on the table by trying to get it.

And everyone around that even vaguely knows me from the sheriff to the trash removal people know I'm armed to the teeth.

Nope. My dad knew I liked “strip clubs” too much to save any money!! Man if I had that money now, I would be sitting on a beach right now drinking umbrella drinks.

Radical? What the frick is wrong with this board? How in frick's name is it radical to not want to deal with banks?

This board believes having cash on hand is radical. Oh holy shite.

What's radical is letting the bank hold your cash and give you paltry interest payments. And let them track how you spend your own fricking money.

Nothing. But that's a good tradeoff for their lousy checking/savings interest payments. Mine is on hand at the ready. No one knows what I spend my money. The piece of mind is worth your paltry payment.

They should subpoena all of their text messages. I am sure they can find the evidence they need in those conversations where she didn’t pay at all or didn’t pay in cash.

You know who keeps that much cash in their home at any given time?

Racketeers. Drug dealers.

I mean, traditionally, black people are skeptical of banks, and also the older generations are skeptical of banks from the depression, so I definitely don’t doubt that her old wise grandpa would say that, the question is, did she actually practice that?

She must go to the grocery store 5x per day every day and get the maximum $40 over every time.

I usually have a few grand in the house for emergencies. It helped get me a 20% discount from the guy who installed my water heater when I offered cash money.
