Not to mention that what the poster to whom you are replying is crowing about is literal socialism and direct wealth redistribution.
Not even in the slightly more abstract way of causing all Americans to pay more in prices so that a few hundred thousand can benefit by being overpaid for unskilled labor.
It's using the government to directly take money from consumers and redistribute it back to (in many, if not most cases) those with less money.
But yes, it would cost about $1.3 trillion dollars. And after the refunds, tariffs have only collected $1.32.5 billion. So yeah, it's a little short.
