Oh, I forgot about that Israel thing with Desantis/Florida.

I’d love to see that exact same scenario with Trump, a federal law of the same kind. Some amongst us have no scruples about their hyper-level hypocrisy. It’s displayed with zeal, no shame. Well, I’ve got some shame for you, right here:

Shame on you. Boom.

I actually think DeSantis deserves a lot of credit for how humble he’s been since the primary. He’s one of the few that has actually sucked up his pride and moved on from going against Trump, especially in a heated primary.

Yep would agree on this point, cults of personality aside, we have to be careful of this kind of thing. I wish Trump would get off this foreign student thing.

Sure that's great. But I wouldn't vote for him over Rubio or JDV who have the vision of the party in mind.

I don’t think he will run for the presidency again. His stock was the highest when he ran and it didn’t go well at all.

That’s what the Massie supporters don’t understand, Thomas was reelected previously by about 80% in his past elections and his actions have caused him about 30% support. If you swing at the king you better not miss.

He was running as a back up plan in case the Dems plan worked to put Trump in jail. But MAGA is a wet noodle movement who can’t handle anyone threatening their dear leader.

They are alter trolls and I dont GAF who MOT is or the new guy. They are despotic punks.

I don’t know FL politics but I do know this.

Trump gets things done when his party votes with him.

Ron gets things done when his party votes with him.

Ron seems to have a far easier road in FL than Trump has in DC.

I 100% agree with DeSantis.

Steve Bannon has been calling for the removal of all Chinese students from all US universities for over 6 years.

It's just hard to rationalize why a nation that is struggling to keep the CCP in check would allow millions of Chinese students to attend the most prestigious STEM institutions, knowing they are taking advanced science research and technology back to China. And let's not forget about the millions of Chinese anchor babies born in the US over the past 25 years, why would a nation allow this crap?

Something tells me there must be some money involved.

Since the beginning of the trade war in 2017, about a quarter of the students that come to the United State do not return to the CCP. We also know that highly skilled/educated Chinese professionals have been trying to get in the US through Mexican human traffickers since COVID.

The Chinese economy is not as healthy as they'd like you to believe. Professionals already in there are trying to leave and the next generation's best are staying in the US after school more often than they were prior to the trade war.

People can call this some CCP scheme but I think it is just simple individual level economic analysis. US is a better option for the Chinese professionals now. The trade war and COVID did a number on them and they haven't recovered.

Point being: bringing 500k over probably means we're brain-draining another 125k per year out of their economic productivity.
