If topping the ticket is not practical, would you settle for VP? I’m talking about an active VP tasked with legitimate oversight of fraud, corruption, regulatory reform or tax reform, etc
In other words, Trump’s Rubio, but for domestic affairs.
I’m setting Rubio aside for purposes of discussion.

He would be better on the Supreme Court or US Senate . He is the strongest conservative we have in a higher power .

He would be underutilized as a VP. The Senate or a cabinet post like AG would be better use for his talent.

And as a governor, vp doesn’t seem like a fitting next spot for DeSantis. He’s earned his place as a chief.

He is JAG. He is not a constitutional scholar. He isnt Tom Cruz in a few good men. JAGs are generally paper pushers. Providing wills and signing off on Leave and earnings statements.
Advising SEALs on their ROEs.
SCOTUS is not a good fit, AG isnt really. SecNav, SecWar or any Pentagon job would be best. Where his UCMJ skills can be used...
Move to PA, GA, VA, and become Governor and clean it up. This is where he thrives.

TBH, I trust Desantis more than Rubio and Vance.
They seem to flow in the direction that is needed to get their positions or how they think they need to be for Maga.
I won't forget Rubio fighting for amnesty and being in the gang of 8 with McCain and that ilk. Vance having disdain for Trump and then becomes his VP is not comforting that he is solid on his principles or convictions.
I overlooked that as they were doing good work, but who will they turn into next? The both are solid conservatives in most things. But I just trust DeSantis more as being a solid conservative in what he has done in FL.

I was at some point, JD or bust. But I’m so blackpilled at the moment, re the entire Trump Admin and Congress. By contrast, I’m struggling with determining a specific time I’ve disagreed with RDS since he’s been re-elected governor.
I really wish he hadn’t run in ‘24. I think that decision will hurt him tremendously when he runs again.

JD is a chameleon that I'm not sure stands for anything. We hear that he is one of the few dissenters on Iran, but it feels like those stories are planted so he can wash his hands of it later.

He was the lone conservative in the race. He thought this would carry him. It didn't.
