And there it is. Unless he gets down in the mud with Trump it doesn't matter if he actually does real work to fight the left every day

Has to be one or the other... you cannot be neutral or like some things about one and other things about the other...

This has become the Ukraine or Russia argument of the OT...

I can't recall him even mentioning it.

LOL

So Trump and his minions can say all sorts of stupid shite against DeSantis but when DeSantis supporters call them out on how stupid they are being it’s “divisive?”

But in order to sign such a bill, it has to be written by the legislature in the first place. No president in Washington will receive such a bill to his desk.

If the POTUS can pay off student loans, eliminate gas stoves, and mandate all federal projects are closed shop by Executive Order, surely a POTUS can issue an executive order prohibiting ESG consideration from all federal procurement, federal pension investments, etc.

ESG didn't really get light shed on it until CV came around. Trying to use this as a gotcha when it was signed yrs after Trump is out of office really isnt as powerful as you think. If Desantis had gotten this thru in his first yr as Gvnr then maybe it could be used as showing him as a trend setter, but in 2023 it isn't a show of being "ahead of the curve"

If you want to know what Trump did, and give him some credit, he did a tranny ban in the military oh and he also gave a lot of politicians like Desantis a roadmap on how to fight it and have some backbone.

Not really true. Certainly, it's snowballing - but it has been a "thing" for years.

I wish Trump was the tough/no holds barred fighter so many of his devoted fans believe he is. We could have used a fighter in the Oval Office in 2020.

We on this kind of site knows this....iirc it was created back in the mid-aughts. But it didn't have the light shed on it from a legit national conversion, where the avg person had heard about it, until all the CV stuff came out and people started hearing about all the crap.

So what I said about him giving conservatives some backbone isn't true? Not that he didn't live up to our standard. Let me guess...Desantis would have been GVNR of FL without him too...??

They're searching for ways to explain it away.

Not successfully so far.

Don't.

Do you see a bunch of conservatives running around with a new backbone?

DeSantis had a pretty good conservative record in congress, and showed a willingness to vote his principles even against Republican leadership.

Trump was rolled in 2020, and in fact cheered on his own demise. I don't think those are hallmarks of a fighter.

Do you not recall "I'll never sign another bill like this again"? Then he signed every one of those spending bills after. He hired Chris Wray to appease Democrats... I don't recall him fighting for much. Publicly he makes a good show but none of that ever resulted in any long lasting, meaningful victories.

The only thing Trump fights is the media.

Didn't do much fighting Congress.
