I grew up in a town of less than 6,000 people. It was an assumption that male kids would join the BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA.
The Catholics had a white troop.

The Baptists had a white troop.
The black kids didn't get to be Boy Scouts.

I 100% support this move. The Boy Scouts need to come back.
I'll never forget this as ling as I live: "A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent."
Nor will I ever forget: "On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to GOD and my country, and to obey the scout law, to help other people and all times, and keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and MORALLY STRAIGHT."
What the "Scouts" has become, is none of the above.

My kids are out of the house now, so we're out of this mess. But I can tell you that we ran from the scouts like a spotted ape when this shite started.
We're a family of multiple eagle scouts, school educators, school counselors and various other normal occupations. There's still a chance for this country - normal people make it a conscious habit to avoid the culture of mental illness.
Some flyover portions of the U.S. still have common sense and are grounded. That's our only hope going forward.

A shame. I haven't been actively involved since the turn of the century, but the OA was once the esoteric epitome of Boy Scouts prestige.
I greatly relished the fellowship with my OA brothers and learning the Lenni Lenape traditions and customs. The OA at the time was a beautiful amalgamation of traditional Boy Scout/Christian teachings and Indigenous philosophy.

The Boy Scouts were lost many years ago.
This is was one of the slippery slopes, along with gay marriage, and now we have trans mental disease which we are expected to accept. The scouts have already accepted the trans mental illness in the ranks. Scouting of America already accepts pedophile leaders, trans homo weirdos, and girls (They ain't girls).
