End, pause, or overregulate AI and have fun explaining the massive recession to people

They just want to figure out which pocket they want to funnel the contracts too.

Thank a GOP voter if you haven’t yet

Some level of regulation is probably necessary but I understand your concerns.

A strong economy doesn't mean anything if AI eats the whole thing alive

Must be a coordinated effort because I just read where that crazy chick that just won in Georgia claims she is going to issue an executive order to pause construction of data centers.

My guess is checks will be cut, policies will change

This is going to lead to the government cancelling contracts over non appropriations, people will get laid off because the government backed out of contracts they agreed to.

Hopefully Louisiana uses this opportunity, it would be wild if we became the Silicon Valley of the south.

It would be wise for Louisiana to do that. People like to shite on Louisiana, but they were one of the first adopters of server virtualization, micro segmentation, and offloading workloads to the cloud.

This will be why it will be one of MANY things they will never touch. Not only would it crash the stock market, it would start a domino effect that would trash the entire economy. That might be their play, but probably not a good idea when their biggest donors are tech moguls.

So no artificial superintelligence? She just made herself obsolete in 40 words or less.

I don't either. Maybe I'm in the minority or just live somewhere it hasn't touched yet, but it hasn't effected mine or my family's lives in any way whatsoever - positively or negatively

Why is this such a hotbutton issue?

So you’re telling me they won’t live up to their promise all the GOP voters voted for?

Who could have thought that lol

Absolutely, because people who believe that Guam is in danger of flipping over should have a voice in the direction of AI.

Makes perfect sense.

I’m not a fan of AI because it will replace an incredible amounts of jobs.

It’s the sad reality, not investing in it will leave the country behind.

A lot of jobs are going to be considered data scientist jobs where you are evaluating what it’s putting out is accurate.

Because it is coming for hundreds of thousands of jobs over the next couple of years
