Oh, I agree. If you get on their panel and say that Trump loves everyone they'll correct your arse in a heartbeat, but anti-Trump rhetoric is free from the burden of having to be accurate.

I agree, though: I detest this mindset. Evidence doesn't matter -- experience matters. The objective truth should be tempered by subjective and anecdotal feelings.
That's not the liberalism I signed up for. An awful lot of people on the left are doing some soul searching right now, and I suspect they'll start shaping up really fast.

It's a by product of their win at all costs mentality. Only they will have to deal with this affecting them in elections to come. I think they severely overestimated the "Obama coalition" of 2008 and 2012. I'm not suprised at the protests or the idiot shills in the media. I am flabbergasted at social media. Seeing people I know and respect screaming these insanities and writing off anyone who voted for Trump as being evil monsters who desire to round them up or rape them in the night is absolutely terrifying.
These aren't isolates ghetto trash. These are middle class people from a blue collar town with multiple advanced degrees and flourishing careers. These people grew up in a conservative area and many still live there.
I simply do not understand it. I had the exact same upbringing as them: same teachers, coaches, schools, experiences, friends, economic class, ect. How can we percieve the world so differently? How did we become so polarized to opposite spectrums?
These aren't isolates ghetto trash. These are middle class people from a blue collar town with multiple advanced degrees and flourishing careers. These people grew up in a conservative area and many still live there.

I think it's a combination of groupthink and the fact that social media has created this need to take everything to the extreme.
Nowadays people don't need to go out and interact with other folks to get a sense of how everybody feels. If they did, they'd realize that we're all pretty damn normal and can get along and the sky isn't falling.
But instead, they gorge themselves with nonsense on the interwebs for hour upon hour until they've worked themselves into a frenzy. Then that shite stays with them and boom, we get what we're seeing.
And yes, it's a goddamn problem.

CNN is an international news organization that reaches millions.
They are actively stating on the show that Trump is going to lock gays and blacks up, nuke every country, etc.
That is the most irresponsible thing anyone could do right now. You Democrats are eating it up and rioting and destroying property.
