Do Democrats really want to shut down the government over illegal aliens? Especially when the deadline to do something about DACA is not until March.
Would be nice if once... just once... the Democrats would put the U.S. and our citizens at the top of their priority list instead of putting illegals, other countries, the global community, refugees, Iran, etc.. ahead of U.S. citizens.

There are plenty of Republican Senators on the record not voting for this BTW. Not helping the narrative, and narrative is all that matters right now.

Trump should release a storm of tweets about how they will target shutting down nonessential government services first, unlike the previous administration who was quoted as instructing to “Make it hurt.”

The house passed a continuing resolution. The republicans have 51 votes in the senate. This isn't difficult stuff. Keep up.
I have no idea why posters here keep saying that. Maybe you should pay more attention to basic civics instead of worrying what posters here think.

It's ironic that the Democrats' position in this instance is in favor of a free market and low government regulation in terms of labor. Meanwhile, the Republicans want maximum government regulation and isolationist policy.
