because they allow Palestinians to be citizens, especially if they can prove that they had residence.

I dont want the US involved in Ukraine, nor in the Middle East with 2 caveats: maintaining freedom of navigation, and Iran should they start building nuclear weapons
The muslims never stopped invading Israel, after the initial invasion in 1948 when Palestine rejected the UN proposed 2 state solution, Israel was invaded again in 1967 and 1973. Palestinians conducted terrorist attacks over the entirety of the past century
The land Israel took from the Arabs was the consequence of losing wars that they started, they would have never lost the land if they had not picked the fight. Israel gave land back to Egypt in exchange for a peace deal, and gave Gaza back to Palestinians
The irony of it all, is that the Israelis murdered on Oct 7 were almost exclusively ultra liberals who advocated for a 2 state solution and provided medical aid and donations to Palestinians. Much the same as how the leftists in Europe and the US want to let the wolf into the flock...

He now gets to do the podcasting circuit as this perceived voice of expertise even if it isn’t formally stated in his title. Guys like Murray have forgotten more history, policy, and geopolitics than smith could ever hope to learn. Yeah he came across like a bit of a prick at times but he was on a completely different level of understanding of the topics. Especially in describing Hamas and Gaza. Eventually Smith just resorts to a bunch of “like” and emo responses.
If Murray has so much knowledge and expertise, why didn’t he use this opportunity to expose Dave Smith for being a podcast bro? That should be easy for someone so esteemed as the great neocon Douglas Murray. Instead, he refused to discuss any of the topics he was there to debate.
What are Murray’s credentials other than his English degree that has nothing to do with this? It’s surprising to see all of you deferring to the “experts” who have lied to us about literally everything for the last decade.

Yep, and the 20% Muslim population in Israel are mostly descendants of those Palestinians that didn't bank on a complete Muslim takeover of the region in 1948. They have no problem functioning in a western style democracy. The gazans have only themselves to blame.

I think that Dave didn't have anything to reply to on the hostage situation in Gaza, fairly. I don't think you level an entire building because a bad guy is in there though as a result though.
You want the bombing to stop? Release the hostages.
Coleman Hughes made a great point (ironically on the Rogan podcast) about this a year ago.
Despite the loss of innocent civilians, Israel cannot acquiesce to bleeding heart sentiment, as Hamas' methodology (ie hiding behind and amongst civilian population) becomes the blueprint for global terrorism.

I watched as much as I could. Rogan sits there stoned and too many times takes a side if things I don't agree with. Idk. Same with Dave Smith, I can only take so much of him.
I think Douglas Murray is legit. Dave would have to stand on his mother's shoulders to kiss Murrays arse. IMHO

The head of urban warfare at West Point wrote an article about a year ago where he pointed out the difficulties in fighting a urban war (while protecting civilians), and went on to state Israel has set the standard for how to do it properly:

I dont think people realize just how dense Gaza is. If Israel wanted to wipe them all out, they could have easily done it. Instead they warn everyone in advance when and where they are going to bomb, which makes hitting Hamas all the more difficult (they should go gloves off IMO)

Imagine the level of hubris required to Invoke the omniscience of “the experts” when talking about history’s most enigmatic diplomatic riddle.
What insight are the experts withholding that will resolve this quagmire?
The reality is that experts convinced there is right or wrong is what has perpetuated the entire issue for 80 years. If the experts had the right answer why hasn’t it been right?

I think the author was on either the Jocko or Shawn Ryan podcast speaking about urban warfare.

Factual statement. Who was doing the invading, who was doing the defending?
They always attack on religious holidays too, very brave and honorable.

I like both more or less. Smith wiped the floor with Murray.

Murray didn't come to debate, he came to bitch about Rogan platforming Darryl Cooper. A mix of jealousy that Darryl blew up and hysteria that the common man can actually do the job of an "expert" had him spinning for the first 40 minutes and then circling back on his own arguments the next hour and a half.
A real debate would have been fantastic, but that's not what we got.

So the board is Pro Palestine now? Is that the takeaway?
Why does the Board or the USA have to be pro-Either one?
How about we cut off military aid and let them both defend themselves like everyone says they have the right?

I thought Douglas Murray was very intelligent, thoughtful and someone I respected, until I heard this interview. Dave can be a condescending a-hole with a strong opinion, but he came off much better than Murray in the end.
Murray tried to play the, I'm an expert and Dave is not on my level to discuss these important topics and have a real intellectual opinion. He sounded like a whining little bitch.
I was shocked by his behavior. I lost a lot or respect for Murray.

It's par for the course with Murray.
Watch his debate with Malcolm gladwell or his "discussion" with Cenk on the piers Morgan show.
I like Murray because I strongly agree with most of his positions, but yeah, he comes off as an arrogant prick. It doesn't bother me because he's usually an arse to someone on the left. But, I can see how a conservative audience doesn't like how he treats someone whom leans right.

Who decided that being Israel's lap dog should be a right wing position?
Israel can and should take care of themselves
