The leader of the republican party’s response to the arse kicking was to talk about how high the ceilings are going to be at a ballroom .0000000000001% of the country will ever see.

Texas is a Blue State now. No matter how good or bad a Republican is, they cannot win in a Blue State.

Same here in Alabama. These folks better get with the times.

The weed stuff is such a stupid easy hill that the right continue wants to die on.

They would rather scream what a retard someone is for staying home over issues than just take easy wins.

Why give the left this hill, when it’s something we can win on and use it to generate tax revenue without hammering people.

Some people are going to OD on copium at this rate. There's no mystery around why Tuesday happened. Trump is a completely out of touch, malignant narcissist who does not give a frick about the average American or their concerns. He has made that abundantly clear over the years and it took a decade for many of his supporters to finally wake up and see it. People are out there struggling financially, sometimes to the point of having to choose between rent and groceries, and he's primarily focused on starting wars, renaming buildings, mountains, and bodies of water, threatening Canada, and a gaudy, expensive ballroom no one besides him wants or needs.

Naw man just call the voters stupid for not going out and voting while being pissed on and ignored.

That’s the winning strategy not giving people a reason to go vote just tell them how dumb they are and hope the next time they decide to go vote.

Sadly that’s the strategy the current leadership of the party feels works

I highly doubt his defeat had anything to do with THC.

It was absolutely the start of people getting annoyed with the state leadership along with the school frickery

People like Patrick assumed their seat was untouchable and the weed tantrum was funded by the booze lobby, they banned weed products but drinks the booze distributing companies sell.

Patrick didn’t understand the power of social media and didn’t think his silly press conference would be blasted everywhere

Obviously there were other things at play but he lost my vote with that nonsense and I am far from the only one

100% Conformed. His funding was tracked, and that was just public donations. Who knows what he got under the table.

It was shameless too.

They carved out THC drinks because the booze distributors didn’t want to lose that product

Nobody gave AF about weed. His loss was completely irrelevant to his personal track record.

In Colorado legal weed has caused a lot of problems. The legal stuff is much stronger, and people don’t handle it well. Lots of psychosis lots of mental illness more homeless….. if you want to legalize it you have to reduce the potency……

We're talking about Dan Patrick, not Ken Paxton.

Yes, you should definitely vote for the candidate who is 100 times better than the other candidate, instead of just 1,000 times better like you would prefer.
