Yes, the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is spending $300,000 on wudu stations so Muslim people can wash their feet before praying in the nearby prayer area.

And it's not just Dallas that has these. Houston, Orlando, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco also have wudu stations along with prayer areas.

May not be this airport, but saw where one somewhere was removing their chapel.

We're reaching critical mass faster than I imagined.

Because SFP is banned, I'll point out on his behalf that this is a "privately funded" project.

But however it's funded, it sucks.

It would be nice if one of the hundreds who know would fill us in but we know that won't happen here.

Well, it’s a valid point, because the OP said

Yes, the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is spending $300,000

which doesn’t appear to be true.

Maybe a few goats for that Muslim on the go. Maybe a rack to rent carpets for them to kneel on, or better still make it free

building my Christian Chapel

I'm sure there is a cross, a Torah, and a statue of Brahma in terminal D at IAH. What a joke. Terminal D is for non United international flights like Air France, so I guess a muslim prayer room is fit for purpose. The partitions are to separate women from men, I bet, in the "interfaith" prayer room

quote:

HOUSTON - Houston Airports has opened its first ablution room and prayer room at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Terminal D near Gate D15 and an existing Interfaith Chapel. The calming and welcoming prayer room provides another option for passengers of all faiths and beliefs. Bush Airport is among the first airports in the U.S. to offer an ablution room for passengers.

The ablution room, also known as a Wudu or Tayammum facility, connects to the prayer room and features dedicated entrances easily accessible from the concourse. The ablution room allows passengers to engage in the ritual washing of hands, feet and face before prayer. The ablution room leads into a shared prayer room that can be separated by a partition.
