I don’t dispute that, but the deaths are following the same trend. I have a hard time believing we’re also just now testing more dead people. People who are seriously ill/end up dying probably got priority testing and probably tested near 100%
So that may be the most accurate data out there.

Yeah . . . Germany only as 2 serious cases? That is TOTAL bullshite. And the recovery numbers seem to be slow coming. I guarantee recoveries are under-reported. We're 8 weeks in since the first reports. Hundreds of cases were reported within days. Those people all dead now?

As of today in our country 349 dead from 26,909 cases
If my math is right that’s a death rate of .012% which is same as flu, right?
And country will soon be shut down 100%!
I call SCAM

Your math is wrong.
It’s 1.2 percent.
But still coming down

It's not, but a huge factor as well. Mortality is 1.2%, or .012.
Normal flu is .02%, or .0002

quote:Different countries use different subsets of ICD-10 codes, so that probably explains the "serious case" numbers. As for "recoveries" we may not have as many as a lot of patients may transition to follow up care after they leave the ICU. There are reports that serious cases result in lung scarring and other issues even if it doesn't kill you.

I’m not a panicker by any means but your math is wrong. It is 1.2% not .012%

If that was true, wouldnt you see an increase in the rate of new confirmed tests?
Thats hasnt been shown in the data so far.

That is not a percentage. Need to multiply by 100 and add % sign
349 / 26909 = .01297 or .013
.013 x 100 = 1.3%

Sorry guys
1.2% instead of .012
Geez

New deaths in US last 3 days:
Thursday 57
Friday 49
Saturday 46
Can we keep the downward trend going today?

Well seeing that it is 10am and we have already surpassed yesterday's number, it's not looking good.

The data is not great, day to day. The trends will smooth it out.
