I’d argue it’s your government programs and unfettered immigration that’s a problem.

No one needs to wait to see if “Trump succeeds”. It isn’t dependent of Trump. Capitalism -free markets - succeed every time they try, and will succeed long after Trump.

As a former Automation Engineer I had heard of that.
As much as I like automation there are reasons that businesses are hiring illegals to do jobs that could be replaced by automation. That leads me to believe that while automation might be a great idea, hiring illegals is sometimes cheaper. If that is true, then getting rid of the illegals will raise prices.
Anyway, Trump seems to be antagonistic to at least some automation, since he criticized port automation to protect the Longshoremens’ Union.

I have a yard crew. Probably 8 guys total with 4 working my place any one time.
. My neighbor uses the same group and he said there are some illegals in the crew.
. They show up in time and do a nice job. They don’t cause any trouble.

There are already better jobs available to these people paying more money with much better futures and they won't take them. You know this, right?
