It seems like he’s protesting a little too much.
And if he’s so unhappy about his pay, maybe he can explain why there are way more congressmen per capita who are millionaires than the general populace?
Maybe it’s not only because of insider trading, but money given to them by companies in order to get favorable laws passed by them.

At 1:20 he says let's make it where only millionaires can run. So is he saying that insider stock trading is OK because it levels the field for the not rich guy?
Explains how so many go in not rich and come out extremely wealthy.

Salary for members of the House is $174k/yr. If they are barely making any money, then that's a "them" problem. How about tying Congressional pay to the average wage (currently $63k)?
Then you would have only extremely rich people serving in Congress.

He is a moron.
The people who voted for him like his eye patch that made him "different".
Just because someone serves in a military compacity, even at the front, doesnt make them smart.

Because you generally need a platform or track record of personal success to show you're a good candidate for office?
People say dumbshit like this on one hand then make fun of someone like AOC for being a former bartender on the other.

This whole bit should’ve been a SNL style skit. The part about “yeah sure let’s just have millionaires in Congress” is obviously not a bad thing especially when Thomas Jefferson I believe said it best in that no Congressional seat holders should draw a income from his seat and it should be but a part time job. Now I can understand that ole Crenshaw has his cushion now to sit on so maybe he should shut up and sit down or go home

As opposed to now?
The average net worth of a member of Congress is already over $1M with most who go there vastly increasing their wealth during their tenure.

Do you even see the irony in your own post?
AOC came to DC a broke bartender, then in a few years of making about 200,000 a year, she is a millionaire.

They make tons of money because lobbyists pay them to pass bills that favor their causes.
If you think this isn’t the way of Washington, I don’t know what to tell you.

He said one thing I totally 100% agree with.
Cut. Their. fricking. Pay.
Make it burdensome to be a politician.

I was about to say, I thought he was a really sensible guy when he first came on to the scene. Now, everything you see from him makes it look like he’s part of the swamp.
