Crenshaw's big payday will come when he leaves congress and joins the board of one or more defense contractors. That's the long play.

Sounds like he’ll be voting yes on a ban. Look forward to seeing it.

Most of the frickers in Congress have absolutely no interest in fixing any of the problems facing our country... They are there to enrich themselves...

This is what happens when the government no longer fears the governed...

Also congress members don’t insider trade they get their family members to do it. Pelosi isn’t making those trades her husband is.

Ahh, good point. He might be telling the truth about insider trading and still be making a fortune using his own “Hunter”.

There is a reason he's called eyepatch McCain.
I appreciate his service in the military, but not his work in congress

Just a masquerading piece of shite. If it won't affect him then he should have no problem voting for it.

His rambling response gives away his guilt to the extreme.

Dan seems to be pretty pissy for a guy that isn't involved. He looks like he drew the short stick and doesn't even wanna be there anymore. I had high hopes for him back in the day.

Eyepatch McNoname was the person who made me rethink my favorability feelings when a candidate came from an armed forces background. He's a spook from the spooky side of spooks, and he's making legislative decisions about my life. Not a fan of this.

——————

Former US Rep Kevin Brady served most of Montgomery County, TX which includes the highly Republican area of the Woodlands. When Brady retried (around time of 2020 census), this part of Brady’s old district got gerrymandered into Crenshaw’s district. Last time I saw a map of Crenshaw’s new district , it starts out in southwest Harris County, curls north to Montgomery County. Heavy Republican so unless a more credible Republican runs against him, he might be a lifer representing that area. Totally sucks. Probably safe to say he was gifted this seat.

Absolutely cut their pay. OFF

It should not be a full-time job to be a Senator or Congressman.

They should travel to Washington to vote a few times/year and largely live inside their home districts.

Salary for members of the House is $174k/yr. If they are barely making any money, then that's a "them" problem. How about tying Congressional pay to the average wage (currently $63k)?

What sweet irony considering the originator of the tweet/post has created a stock trading platform to mimic the trades of pelosi and other politicians. Dan can act like a bitch and claim it’s virtue signaling bullshite but the fact remains that members of Congress have drawn so much attention with their trades that others have taken notice and are riding their coattails

I would bet he's worth about five times this figure. Dude has been insider training like crazy.
