An inactivated vaccine (or killed vaccine) is a vaccine consisting of virus particles, bacteria, or other pathogens that have been grown in culture and then killed to destroy disease producing capacity. In contrast, live vaccines use pathogens that are still alive (but are almost always attenuated, that is, weakened). Pathogens for inactivated vaccines are grown under controlled conditions and are killed as a means to reduce infectivity and thus prevent infection from the vaccine.[1] The virus is killed using a method such as heat or formaldehyde.

In your analogy the cannon would be the traditional vaccine. It has a massive amount of genetic material in the virus capsule relative to the small mRNA that codes only for the spike protein and doesn’t cross into the nucleus.
I guess yes in theory a bad actor could use this technology for nefarious purposes sure. Howeve they can do the exact same thing with a lab created attenuated virus in a traditional vaccine and have a lot more genetic material to work with.

J&J took production facilities away from NovaVax, which is from a small R&D company that actually has produced a superior vaccine in the original definition of vaccines. The results from the NVAX tests are better than the field but it has been suppressed because it isn't one of the huge Pharma companies that WHO,CDC, NIH or the media supported.

Well...Science would require this to be classified as dangerous until it is "proven" safe. Science would not allow you to assume it is safe. So until it is proven safe, it is technically considered "dangerous" from a scientific standpoint.
Besides that you are changing the instruction set for cellular activity. What are the risks associated with doing such a thing? It works by similar mechanisms as gene therapy which are not widely accepted as scientifically safe methods.

Correct. 50% effectiveness given to healthy folk 18 to 65 years of age however, it seems to lessen the blow BUT, you are still contiguous.

You do know they still tested this to make sure it was safe right?

Gene therapy specifically tries to change your DNA because it’s defective.
This doesn’t change your DNA. It uses mRNA to produce proteins that are found on the virus so your body will build an immune response to this proteins.
You don’t need to change the DNA to do this.

While I question their effectiveness for Covid, masks and social distancing are excellent to limit the flu. Basically methods I used during flu season for the last six years. Only time I got the flu was when I went to a check up at the hospital and decided I didn't need my mask that visit.

Can they tell you if it’s safe 4/6/8 months down the road? What about once you are exposed to Covid at different intervals, or other Coronaviruses? What about if it poses autoimmune risks?

False. Safety testing requires long term testing. This is classified as experimental, not "safe." There have been preliminary trials that did indeed show issues but the issues were considered a low enough % to be acceptable. That inherently means it isn't absolutely "safe."

Your genetic makeup isn't just DNA. mRNA turns your cells into factories for spike protein. Do you know how that cellular instruction set is altered to accomplish this?

That's probably a fair point in the general sense. From what I've seen, however, there is far more evidence at this juncture to say it's "safe" than there is to say it's "dangerous" or injurious in any way.
